Not the usual type of ancient monument, but a lovely experience overall with very high standards. The room was clean and peaceful and the Restaurant exceptional. I will definitely stay agin in the new year.

It is clear that this parador depends on its location by the sea. The furniture is dated and the cook should be fired immediately, because our diner was horrible. The minigolf-area we were looking at from our room, had been neglected and the children's pool was shut down. This is the first parador of the many that we have already visited, that we will never return to.

We had a one-night stay here while driving through Spain. The hotel is not one of the historical Paradores and its design will not be to everyone’s taste. It is, though, right on the beach and our room was comfortable and clean, if rather lacking any particular charm. There was also a good-sized car park in the hotel grounds. The terrace and bar area are functional but also lack any real sense of style. The cushions on the outdoor furniture could also do with a bit of a clean. We ate dinner in the restaurant. The food offering in most Paradores is pretty average however we both had the Spring Special Menu, which was very good. Service was also friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

This is a very family-oriented hotel with a great location. I like very much how easy is to go from the pool to the beach, the trails for walking, running or biking, and the proximity to *****cola and its beaches, although keeping the small-town charm.

We chose the parador as we have stayed in several others and assumed it was a safe bet. WRONG!! We initially had a superior room booked but we found it a bit dark and with a bad smell. So we decided to upgrade to the suite. It’s a nice location overlooking the sea but the decor and amenities are very very very dated. The big problem was that the air conditioning simply doesn’t work . Despite maintenance coming out 3 times and promising it would take 30 mins to work - it never did. After 2 restless nights we moved back to a superior room and decided to put up with the musty smell . Overall very disappointing, Benicarlo was bland and as noted in other reviews the beach is extremely busy and unpleasant

The ride took 4 hours to Benicarlo. I'm an Amigos and stayed 2 nights. Dodged the weather, found pretty easy. I loved this place, a bit Miss Diane & Benny, mind. I kindda fell in love with the place and local bars. Great Pool and Beach beyond. The couple of days I was there the weather was perfect (before Storm Dana hit). I loved watching the older waiters with the trolleys and plating of food, in the Restaurante. Met some really nice people too.

Very nice place to stay right on the Mediterranean. This is not a historical Parador like some of the Paradors, but is modern with a great location, within walking distance to the center of town. Our room was on the main floor, but there is an elevator to access the upper floor if necessary. Our room was somewhat dated, but very clean, quiet and comfortable with a big bathroom. The room had a safe and mini fridge available in the room. The room had a musty smell when the air conditioner wasn't on, or if we didn't have the patio door open to air out. The food served for breakfast and dinner was very good and didn't take long to get our order once we placed the order, but there were times when the staff was busy and it took us awhile to have someone take our order. Staff was always pleasant, spoke English, and worked very hard. It was great having free parking on the hotel lot.
