Classic Hotel am Stetteneck

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is a lovely property, very conveniently located in the town centre. The gondola to go to Alpe de Suise is next door and there are goo eating places around. The service and staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was very comfortable.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond with their hospitality, kindness, and warmth. The hotel exuded a cozy and welcoming a**osphere, making us feel right at home. Our room offered a phenomenal view, and we were fortunate to be upgraded to a comfort room, which was an added bonus. The breakfast was equally impressive, featuring a wide variety of foods and excellent coffee.

We enjoyed very much the stay at Classic Hotel Stetteneck; Room quality and cleaning were excellent; Swimming pool and sauna were very good, Nice breakfast. Very good and friendly reception service; We appreciated the personalized decorations (old objects, paintings, etc), and the history of the hotel. We hope to return.

Great hotel, with very nice and spacious rooms and friendly staff at the best location in Ortisei. Great service for collecting ski passes and rental skis delivered at the hotel. At walking distance to ski lifts and shops in town. We went here for the third year in a row and will return again.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel, well positioned for the skilifts and exploring the town. Also laid on extra events - some free/some for a fee - we had a brilliant day snow shoeing with a guide followed by lunch at a refuge and toboggan back down - only cost was lunch and bus trip. Will definitely return!

Worse client experience. Reservation: by phone, for about 1'000 EUR for 2 nights, in a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Asked to not out a child bed, but they did. Arrival: Didn't find the hotel, arriving by car. Called. Couldn't get much more info by phone, but finally found it, driving through what seemed a pedestrian zone. Check-in: I did a pre-check-in online. Arrived at reception. Signed on a tablet. That's it. No information, no runner to help with luggage, no room tour. Room: Nice size, two small windows, average view, and linoleum (!) on the floor of the bathroom. Child bed was set-up, taking valuable space. Access via slow elevator, not fitting 2 adults and a young child plus luggage for 2 days. Breakfast 1: Decent choice for a 4 star hotel. Sat on a very nice table by the window. Cute. Deserves 1 star. Dinner: Arrived at 7pm. "Do you have a reservation? We have half-board. I don't see you on the list. Well, we have half board. OK, but you didn't tell you would eat, so you canot choose main course. You have to eat what we give you. ..." Starter was good. Main was very salty. Meanwhile, we asked for check-out on Sunday. My wife went to the reception to ask and the manager on duty said 12:00-12:30. We subsequently got a babysitter for 3 hours (60 EUR) and ski guide for 2 hours (150 EUR), to enjoy the slopes for two hours the next day. (Side story about babysitter, one receptionist had done the extra mile and found one, but when we wanted to confirm, the new receptionist had no clue and handed a list with numbers to call. Zero follow-up). Breakfast 2: We arrived and no one was to be seen. We sat down at the table of the day before, and went to buffet. To then be rudely intercepted by an employee to tell us we had to sit at another table... Tables are assigned and we had an "bad" table for 2 adults and a child. But were the only clients in the room... Fantastic feel. Babysitter arrived and we went down to get on our organised ski tour. Asked something at reception, and then got told check-out is at 10am. I'm sorry what? We explained to the smirking receptionist we had a confirmation yesterday that check out was 12:00 - 12:30, but the answer was "No. We have guests arriving at 12:00". Cherry on the cake, she asked the manager to come, as info came supposedly from him, and both said in the face of my wife she mis-understood. They even had the audacity to say the manager talked to my wife on the phone, what is a blunt lie, as she went physically to the reception to talk to someone. Neither of the receptionist and the "manager" even bothered to look for a solution, to accommodate us. "Your wife misunderstood", aka "your wife lies". "You have to leave as we have clients at 12." How is that even possible in any client servicing business? It's. disrespectful and again, all that with a smirk on their faces. Do they enjoy treating people badly? End of story, we cancelled the guide (no refund) and paid the babysitter (not her fault), packed,

First time in the Dolomite's and booked the Stetteneck with family and friends. This is a family-run for generation hotel with returning guests over and over. It says it all. It is a piece of jewel in Ortisei. The village itself is one of the most beautiful areas in that part of the world. The hotel is perfectly located in the town, just a 4 minute walk from the Alpe di Siusi gondola, where you have dozens of different places where to ski/snowboard. You can also walk to the Seceda gondola which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel with different areas/slopes to explore. You will also find right outside the hotel lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Check-in was extremely efficient. We were very kindly greeted by Andrea and we booked a triple room on the 4th floor (top floor). We chose the "half board" option and breakfast & dinner were delicious. Small buffet breakfast yet with enough options to cater for everyone. Evening dinners are an A La Carte small menu to choose from, different every night and always excellent. The room was cosy, warm & comfortable. The housekeepers worked hard to turn a mess into a perfect room, every single day. Thank you. The hotel has a modern indoor swimming pool open all day and there are a sauna and a steam room open in the afternoon from 3:00pm. Perfect for Apres-Ski. Its sister hotel, Angelo Angel (owned by the same owners), has a SPA for trea**ents where guests from the Stetteneck can book. It is a 3 minute walk through the carpark behind and the service was excellent with trea**ents provided by highly knowledgeable beauty therapists. The whole staff made our entire week so easy, fun and comfortable. Raul, at the Bar, was always enthusiastic, kind and made all the guests feel always at home away from home. Alyssia at Reception was very efficient, knowledgeable and going the extra mile to make our stay smooth. This hotel deserves a 5 star for its exceptional staff. I would however make one suggestion for improvement: a "tea & coffee" facility in all the rooms would add comfort to your guests. We had 4 rooms booked in total for our group (1 triple, 2 communicating double rooms and 1 Junior Suite) and only the Junior Suite had a kettle with tea bags provided (no coffee though). Nowadays, in 4 star hotels, it is common to equip rooms with coffee & tea facilities. Many thanks for a great stay.

First of all, the service is amazing - from receptionists, bartenders, waiters and cleaners. The hotel itself is very stylish - we are staying there for the second year and I think we will be back again. Location - you won't find a better location than this in all of Ortisei. The spa area (pool and saunas) is small in comparison, but never once did we have to wait for anything. Perhaps there are even advantages to being so compact. The food is worth mentioning - there were different dinners every day and the breakfasts were also very good. Perhaps we just needed more vegetables, porridge, more healthy food (for vegans it is quite difficult). Special thanks to the hotel manager Andrea - he was very helpful and friendly.

- Location - excellent - central Ortisei (a beauitiful town) - less than 5 min walk to one gondola, and a10 minute walk to another gondola with slightly more advanced slopes, but better (Seceda). - Food is Fantastic, though it is a sit down menu that you choose in the morning (2 options for entre, 2 options for main, salad bar prior, desert). - The hotel is very well kept, and lovely in the Dolomites style, though the bathroom could be updated. - Staff is very helpful - Raul is fantastic, kkvery helpful, very friendly, created a great a**osphere. - The pool is medium sized, heated, sauna and steam room. The pool area is perhaps smaller than at a 5 star hotel (which would also have a pool). - This hotel is a gem! And, more so for the price.
