The Rebello Hotel & Spa - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

We stayed in the Rebello for 3 nights in April. The hotel has a modern feel, extremely clean and comfortable. The service and attention is off the charts. You could not ask for better staff in a hotel. We had a balcony suite with beautiful views of the bridge, the Douro and Porto. When the Porto lights come on it is spectacular. Breakfast was included and was very good. We had lunch on the roof top deck which was also very good with great views. The walk to Porto is easy and enjoyable ,but you can also take a short Uber or taxi ride. We highly recommend the Rebello and we would certainly stay here again.

Fantastic new hotel, large modern rooms, comfy bed, great food and wine in the restaurant (both buffet breakfast and dinner), unbeatable view of Porto old town and above all: perfect, attentive service by the most friendly staff. Would definitely come back!

The Rebello Hotel is an impressive 5* apartment hotel in a unique location on The River Douro with great views over the historic City of Porto. The level of service and performance of the hotel staff was outstanding; the food and drink were delicious ; and, the views from the hotel were memorable. This is a destination hotel that warrants multiple stays.

We had a wonderful stay at the Robello. The hotel is beautiful and super clean. The staff were all very friendly - special mention to Claudia and Annabelle on breakfast service. They really were wonderful. For us there were a few things that let the hotel down hence the 4 stars. First negative was the spa - the pool water was far too cold, such a shame as it’s such a beautiful space to relax. My husband had a wonderful massage, sadly mine wasn’t as enjoyable as my therapist was unwell and kept coughing, she ended up leaving the room mid treatment. Not her fault but sadly spoilt my experience. The other negative was the slow service in the rooftop restaurant . The staff were all very nice and helpful but we found ourselves waiting or trying to catch the attention of staff to order or get anything. We visited several times and it was the same each time. This is not 5 start service in our opinion. Apart from a few minors the hotel is wonderful and we would happily return again in the future. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the little extra details. We ordered room service one night and that was super efficient. The food in the rooftop is delicious and the view is pretty special.

I rarely write reviews, but had such an amazing experience that I want make sure the word is out on this special place. I can’t say enough about the staff, service, genuine caretaking, and relaxing energy at Rebello. They ensured our stay was worry free from the weeks leading up to our arrival and through departure. Miguel at the front desk booked our meals and airport transfer. He made sure every detail was attended to and matched our preferences. At the restaurants, Claudia and Tiago were awesome and fun to talk with daily. I can say I’ve never been on a first name basis with hotel staff in my numerous travels, it here is different. Now to the hotel itself, beautifully designed and curated to be true to Porto’s history and incredibly pleasant for relaxation. The food and cocktails are not to be overlooked, from breakfast to the rooftop bar. I truly can’t say enough about this place and look forward to coming back for years to come.

My family and I stayed there for 4 nights in March 2024. I had booked a family room (2 beds) with a balcony but upon entering the room we noticed that the views were not the ones we had expected or had seen online (my fault for not enquiring more about it when booking). Rooms with balconies have limited views of the Douro river and Porto. I brought this up and someone from the hotel staff was kind enough to show me 2 other rooms types (without balcony) which had the most amazing views of the Douro river, Porto and Luis bridge. They quickly switched us tone of these rooms with smiles on their faces. Very kind and accommodating. This new room was outstanding. Best views of any room, ever. We spent a lot of time on the window bay beds just watching the view. The rooms are beautiful and huge but lack a little functionality (light switches operating which lights is a bit confusing and the open shower concept with only a small glass wall left the bathroom floor, garbage can and toilet sprayed no matter how careful we were). The service fluctuated between great and poor. Our rooftop bar meal saw our waitress disappear halfway through. We called on another waitress who began serving us and then we had a different waiter for a little bit and then our initial waitress returned at the very end. It wasn't awful but we did have to call for most of the things we needed as opposed to them checking on us. We also had reserved time at the spa pool but the pool had to be maintained (an issue with pool chemical amounts) during our reserved time so we could not go. The hotel tried to contact our room to tell us and left me an email as well. They re-booked us for the next day. When we showed up 10 min early for that booking they erroneously had us in the system at another time. But, they let us in anyway and said they'd ask one of the couples in the pool area to leave since they had already been there for their allotted hour anyway and because otherwise we would not have enough chairs/loungers to accommodate our family. Staff spoke to that couple and then left but that couple never left and so we just made do without seating for everyone and I stayed in the pool the whole time. Again, not a huge issue for us but could be seen as one by some if you look at how much a stay here costs. The included buffet breakfast is really good and staff there was quite friendly and professional every day. Overall, the hotel and it's facilities are definitely 5 star but I'd give the service overall about 3.5 stars. If visiting Porto again I'd probably still stay here. I should mention that the hotel seemed quite empty when we arrived (and had the issues mentioned above) and seemed to get busier as the week progressed. Perhaps they did not have full staff on during that time which might have accounted for some issues.

The staff is lovely from housekeeping, to front desk, to restaurant, to spa! Everyone goes above and beyond. They also have great recommendations around town, loved every single place that was suggested. The river view rooms are stunning. You will really feel at home at Rebello. Would 100% recommend and come back if ever in Porto.

This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. It opened recently so everything is new and well taken care of. We came in for the bar but the GM has kindly showed me around. Rooms are generously sized and many have balconies or terraces. Furniture and decoration in the rooms is well appointed and of good quality. The rooftop bar is a must for the amazing views. Food and drink selection were great and the guys at the bar were nice and friendly. Totally recommend.

We loved everything about staying here! The staff was amazing- so helpful and kind. The room and view were both excellent. Breakfast was really lovely- so many healthy and fresh options! We are vegetarians and usually breakfast is hard at hotels, but they offer so many great choices. The rooftop bar and restaurant were excellent as well! The pool and sauna are absolutely gorgeous. I had 2 massages, which were so easy to schedule and great. I also loved all the details of the interior design. Everything is so well thought out and such high quality. It was neat to see how many things were sourced from Portugal. Truly wonderful hotel and we hope to return! Thank you :-)
