These are what happened to me few days ago. 1. The resort matched wrong pictures and prices in their homepage. In homepage, It is more cheaper then OTA sites but it was not. It was more expensive. I regret to cancel in Agoda when I was check in. However they never sorry about that and no one took responsibility. 2. The resort did not prepare the room. The room condition is the worst I have ever seen: * The safety box was broken. * Mold is everywhere. The smell was like foot odor. * The water quality is a nigh**are. I attached a picture. It only took once to contaminate the filter." * The handheld light did not work. * Some of the lights did not work. 3. F&B? You can experience worse service and worse taste for a higher price compared to cheaper food stores in Laos.
- It took almost 2 hours to get our food after ordering, even though we were the only guests in the restaurant.
- Resort workers tried to overcharge us for drinks. The total bill was supposed to be 660,000 kip, but they charged us 900,000 kip without an official bill.
- Hospitality staff did not inform us that the buffet is not served when there are fewer than 5 guests. - We waited for about an hour in the restaurant without any information or assistance from the staff. They did not apologize for their mistake or the inconvenience.
- Guests ate together with hotel employees in the same restaurant. They touched food with unwashed hands and spoke loudly while we were eating. They didn't care whether guests were present or not.
- The draft beer tasted terrible. I think they don't know how to manage the draft beer equipment properly. This bad taste is likely caused by their negligence of the nozzle or something else. Even bottled beers tasted unpleasant. 4. Poor quality, possibly containing undefined chemicals.
It was the first time I felt like my skin was melting or burning while swimming. I'm seriously considering going to the hospital to treat my skin. I'm not sure if they have the knowledge to properly maintain the swimming pool. In any case, it seems they lack professional expertise in managing the resort.
5. This is the final incident. We had money stolen from our room while we were away. The stolen amount was almost $250. We have no idea when, by whom, or how this occurred. We reported the issue to the reception and the manager. However, all we received were routine responses, with promises to investigate their employees. I knew they didn't have protocols or a security system in place to handle such situations. It's not just about the $250, which isn't a significant amount to us. The main reason for my upset is their attitude towards guests. They didn't seem to feel any remorse. I can't forget the memory of some of them smiling slyly when we were facing trouble.
