"Château Pimo, Draguignan is a very stylish and luxurious residence. The property is located inside an expansive park-like resort that features beautiful gardens, an amazing spa area and a huge swimming pool. There is safe and secure parking available on site. Our very spacious and modern suite was located on the first floor, and it was impeccably clean and quiet. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. The owner was very courteous, helpful, and friendly. He also prepared a very fresh and tasty breakfast. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city of Draguignan as well as the beautiful villages of Tourtour and Cotignac. This was a wonderful experience in every way."

"We discovered small spiders all over the room (bed, carpet, walls, curtains) after our first night. Front desk was kind to offer a suite upgrade on the top floor for the following two nights, however, the issue was the same there as well. This is likely a property issue and not contained to any one individual room. Staying overnight was simply no longer an option, as would be for most others who prefer to sleep soundly without worries of critters all over the bed. Unfortunately the onsite manager had no decision making powers and we were left at the mercy of the group’s offsite associate revenue manager, who downplayed the situation (consistently referring to “one small spider” in the room) and ultimately insisted a 100% refund for the two remaining nights would not be an option, but rather only 50% refund for night #2 and 100% for night #3 would be appropriate as the room was “used” until late afternoon on the second day. In numbers terms, the revenue manager was protecting 110€ of otherwise lost income. For certainty, the room was not used – our bags were merely placed there by hotel staff until we arrived back in the afternoon, at which point it was obvious the solution offered was only superficial. For a hotel of this stature and size to argue about a measly sum of 110€ is pathetic. Their arguments for insects, bugs, etc. to be found in the rooms due to the hotel’s “natural mountain setting, surrounded woods and green spaces” is weak. Yes, the hotel is situated wonderfully at the top of Bormes-les-Mimosas, surrounded by the regions wonderful foliage and overlooking the village/sea, but it is a far cry from a camp ground. A four-star hotel of this prestige should do better to look after its guests, not downplay legitimate concerns, and avoid squeezing cents at the cost of euros. A message to guests in the near term, the above warning is not reserved for those suffering arachnophobia, but rather anyone who prefers sound sleep knowing their bed/hotel room is not a playing field for spiders. A message to Hotels Mona Collection (hotel operator), kindly consider if your associate revenue manager was wise in arguing a net 110€ charge on this matter. We were mindful to address the matter discreetly, away from other guests in the lobby at the time. The internet has a far larger reach."

The room was simple and clean, but the bathroom facilities were disappointing, with no shower curtain or glass partition. The breakfast was unappetizing and not worth buying!"
