Paulos Valletta

You can't get a better location than paulos, right in the centre of Valletta and waking distance to everything. The rooms are a little worse for wear (bathroom window wouldn't shut and the door handle kept coming off) but all manageable and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine. Biggest issue for us is that the room itself would not lock and this was not fixed for our entire stay. Luckily we had no real valuables with us and the building felt quite safe, but this was not ideal. The communication about it was limited and slow. Eventually the owners simply said it wasn't fixable because a company was closed. No effort to fix through different means (we suggested the physical lock that was also on the door) or provide us an alternative safe space. At one point the door did lock itself whilst we were out, we were not told but had luckily taken the key with us anyway. This didn't ruin our stay but did cause a bit of anxiety and unnecessary stress on the holiday. I imagine if wouldn't be the case if you were there at any time other than Chris**as as hopefully the lock company would be open.

This place was a lot better than expected. Quite and clean. Breakfast was super nice and close by everything. Staffs are so kind… Highly recommended to stay here Jake from LA

Apart from some confusion getting into the building initially (the door code would have been handy in advance!?) this was a fine stay. The building had lots of character and the kitchenette room was 100% with good air con. Thankfully there was a lift as the crooked stairs were hard work! The buffet breakfast was spot on and the staff even offered to do up a brekkie box for me on the last day when I was rushing out early for a meeting! It's only staffed in the morning though seemingly.

Loved the room and the quirkiness. The room was really clean. Only issue was confusion getting in - the instructions we had emailed were different from the reality of getting in. But apart from that it was great!

We found this property to be in a very good location within minutes walk from all the shops bars ect Very spacious room breakfast was included which was very good

Everything was fine. An old building carefully renovated. At this price range I would not expect better hotel. The room was spacious with air-condition working fine, the personnel was friendly and a good breakfast was included. Also the location at the center of Valletta is a great advantage.

We stayed out Paulos for 3 nights and it was perfect. Beautiful, spacious accommodation including a very handy kitchen and lounge area. The building is a Maltese townhouse and retains it’s original character, it’s quite quirky. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty served by very welcoming staff. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We really can’t fault anything, the location is great, being steps from bars and restaurants. I would definitely highly recommend a stay here, and would love to stay again in the future.
