Rooms & Pool Macaws

The room was very clean, the hotel is super close to the Marino Ballena National Park Gaby is very friendly The room has air conditioning The beds are very comfortable, the pool is good and the common areas are always available and clean everything was good

We had THE BEST stay at Rooms and Pool Macaws! The rooms were super nice, the a**osphere in the hotel and shared kitchen was lovely and the pool was a life saver in the hot midday. The best thing was the super helpful and sweet host Gabriela who helped us with so many things already from before we arrived. She tried to help us find transportation to Uvita, let us keep our bags at the hotel after check-out, and even offered to drop us of at our next stay as she was going in that direction herself. We also saw a macaw in their almond tree and from the pool we could see hummingbirds and butterflies. Such an amazing place. Would definitely recommend to EVERYONE going to Uvita!

Fabulous stay. A wonderful group of international travelers to visit with. Clean, spacious shared kitchen. Nice soaking pool. The AC worked, but only got kind of cool.

We sayed 12 days and wish we could have stayed longer. About a mile down a gravel road and within walking distance to the National Park Beach... we saw many toucans and Scarlet Macaws while there. Gabi and Victor, the owners, leave out fresh fruit to attract several species of colorful birds. They quickly take care of any issue guest might have. Our only 'issue' was our limited stay. The communal outdoor kitchen is well equipped for any meal prep and serves as a social-center for guests from afar: we met people from Germany, France, The Netherlands, Hungary, Panama, Canada, Finland, England and, last and absolutley least, Oklahoma. (All spoke English well enough to make friends). Two large refrigerators provide storage for whatever foods you buy that need refrigeration. Gabi provides coffee beans from a family farm to grind for breakfast... grinder included. French press is available as are usual coffee makers. Rooms are big and comfy. WiFi was high speed and dependable. Showers hhad hot water (not always an item in Costa Rica). The pool is your best friend in humid and warm Uvita. A nice shower is there for pre and post swim. Great Super Market is a 5 minute drive away A local fruit and vegetable stand is on the raod halfway to the market. This was one of our best stays ever.

Gabriela is an excellent host! Room was very good, nice pool, a prober shared kitchen and even a Macaws in the almond tree outside. We had a lot of questions for our host and she obliged them all - even though a lot of them was not hers to answer. Thank you Gabriela, you went above and beyond.

This is a charming place to stay, almost hostel style. It has an open shared kitchen and it was lovely to meet other travelers. The pool is lovely and the owner is very proud of what they have created there. She is very accommodating. Its in a rural location that was a little tough for us to find on fairly rough roads, but it near several restaurants and very close to the dive shop which was our purpose for staying there for an early morning dive. We had a lovely stay.

Eine wirklich ausgesprochen schöne Unterkunft. Wir hatten ein sehr grosses geräumiges Zimmer. Sehr schöner, ruhiger, erholsamer Garten mit Pool. Pura Vida. Am besten hat uns die Freiluft-Gemeinschaftsküche gefallen. Sie ist absolut top ausgestattet, man kommt mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch. Die Gastgeberin ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine super Unterkunft

Mi esposo y yo disfrutamos no tan solo de un buen lugar, con todas las comodidades a un buen precio, sino también el poder compartir con los huéspedes, pues la cocina fue el centro de sanas conversaciones. Además de compartir buena información de experiencias en lugares cercanos y lejanos para visitar. Nuestra anfitriona Gaby es súper amable y con la buena disposición de ayudar en cualquier momento. Lo recomiendo a personas sociales, aunque también hay espacio para las más tranquilas e individuales.

Parfait pour un hébergement de quelques jours si vous possédez un moyen de transport. Les chambres sont équipées de manière sommaire mais les lits sont très confortables. La cuisine est très bien équipée et la piscine est propre et rafraichissante. Les responsables sont proactifs et aidants. Je reconnande cet hébergement.
