We had a fantastic stay in the hotel's annex apartment. The apartment was so spacious, clean and comfortable. We were able to get a great night's sleep, my partner away from my snoring! Check in was quick and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental selection.

Myself and my sisters stayed in the annex. It is a lovely large space that used to be the laundry of the prison. Everything was super clean, the beds where comfortable with high quality linen and the kitchenette was well equipped. If I get the opportunity to stay next time I’m in the area I most definitely will!

Stayed one night in "annexet." We picked up the key before 1 PM so 2 hrs before check-in time, great! The little house was amazing with all the space, kitchen and own bathroom :) Bed was a little too soft for my taste but still slept pleasantly. Breakfast was just the basics but very good and filling. Lady at the reception was very nice though there were problems with my credit card and/or the internet. Free parking very great. Close to the city centre so could walk everywhere there. Wifi worked fine. Would def stay here again! Toppen!

Nice hotel right by the city of Umeå.
Defienetely a hotel where to visit again when planning trip to central Sweden.
Special thanks to our receptionist - you made us feel very welcomed and great tips of restaurants and flea markets as well.

This hostel was actually a real historical prison located 10min walk from Umeå city center with a room dedicated to the history of the prison. We normally avoid hostel due to shared toilet. But the annex has own toilet and kitchen with cleaning and breakfast included in the price, plus it is a own building in the courtyard so it feels so secluded in a historical environment. As a bonus the price is much lower than hotel with similar family room. High celing, 2 bedrooms with 6 beds suited us perfectly. The annex is accessible as well. The rooms is very clean. Super friendly hosts, would definitely stay here next time we are in Umeå.
