Tarisa Resort & Spa

Visited for the second time in a row and we continue to fall in love with this cosy hotel whose hospitality never fails to deliver. Everyone was faultless - from reception, to housekeepers, restaurant and bar staff and even the General Manager who came to introduce himself personally at dinner in the Tandoor. Food in the main restaurant was varied everyday, we tried the indian restaurant on one of the evenings and we weren't disappointed. The buffet was incredible! To top it all up, the hotel is on one of the best beaches on the island! We look forward to returning. Thank you all for making our holiday memorable!

Beautiful situated hotel. we had a week in superior room.Very clean, great staff especially D. J who was playing fab music. the beach is superior. we were in quiet period which was extra bonus (for me) Based on all inclusive - food could be better but for the price we paid can't complain. Did 2 excursions swimming with dolphin (Follow by tripto rock and barbuce on island). what I loved the most it wasn't swimming with dolphins in any kind of captivaty. basicly it was swimming next to them (on the speedboat) while they were coming back from their daily routines. very enjoyable although I stayed on the board as not as quick swimmer to keep up with them. lol second trip was to 5 islands and feeding the monkeys. again in their own habitat while on the s boat. they claim down the branches to grab some treats. Mauritius offered everything what I craved for. could done another week.

Just back home from the small paradise.Hotel and room clean and causy.The beach with white sand just 200 meters from the room.We arrived early so we were offered cold drinks and rest till room ready.All staff :room maids,receptionists,portje ,cleaners ,gardeners very polite helpfull and friendly.Spa ladies-absolute goddesses.Big choise of meals and deashes to satisfy needs of turists from all backgrounds and communities.Always fresh fruit and vegs,nice cold juice and water served.Especially I would like to mention Food and beverage staff,who were doing extra mile to make us happy at the breakfast lunch and dinner:Shakti,Jean Claude,Theeruven,Ripon,Ravi and the others.Boys at the bar :Kesaven and the others making exceptionally nice cocktails -masterpieces.Thank’s for kitchen staff:there salad cakes and the other deashes very delicious.Thanks for managment for that exceptional possibility let us feel as members of one big family.We were really well looked after,felt safe and secure. We had possibility for a lot of activities and musical events at the hotel,thanks to DJ animator whose nickname Miau Miau Apologise for staff members whose names were not mentioned!yous all doing great job! I'm horrified at the review by traveller Seaside! I think they've been to a different hotel from the one I left on Monday. No it isn't 5star luxury like The Oberoi or Le Tousserok but it's a friendly hotel where the staff are 10star never mind 5 & no-one has paid 5* prices. We had bottled water every day in the room & there were carafes of fresh, cold water at lunch & dinner. The restaurant was clean & cared for - NO bird droppings etc & constant cleaning going on. The food wasn't fabulous but there was choice & it was fine, some days better than others but you certainly wouldn't starve. The restaurant staff were fantatstic , in particular Jamal, Santyi & Raveen who looked after us so well & made us feel like family, & always in smart uniforms. Rooms were scrupulously clean & tea/coffee topped up daily. The bed was too hard for me & the pillows were horrible but, hey I didn't die. The pool was inspected & cleaned every day ( we watched from our balcony!) As for the beach, my goodness it's gorgeous with sunsets to die for & the grounds of the hotel are lovely. This hotel is great for the staff alone, they genuinely smile all the time. Don't be put off by someone's bad review which is nothing like we experienced we loved it & would definitely return as would most people who were thereat the same time as us.

We stayed at Tarisa Resort and Spa for two weeks and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is in an idealistic setting close to the beach, giving you the perfect tropical setting. The rooms are spacious and clean. We found the staff here, amazing. Each and every one of the are so polite, helpful and smiling, consistently doing their best to make sure you are ok and enjoy your stay. We had positive interactions with all of them. The food is well prepared and plentiful, with the staff working very hard to accommodate you in the restaurant. I would like to mention the restaurant managers Atish and Shakti who welcomed us everyday and displayed outstanding service. I would also like to thank the other waiters Rauin, Kamal, Uimal, J. Claude and Theeruven as well as the Barman J.Pierre, Kesaven and Ravi. Each and everyone, plus others I may of forget to mention were outstanding in their service. I would also like to thank the manager Mr Sanjay Bhajoo, who was such a lovely, helpful guy making time to talk to us and make sure we were ok. Thank you to all, for making our stay so memorable. Would we come back again? 100%.

After a long time travelling we arrived to a very warm and friendly welcome at the Tarisa Resort and spa. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and was regularly cleaned and maintained by the cleaning staff. Whilst the hotel is a little bit dated, and it does need just a tiny bit of TLC, the hotel had a laid back, fun and friendly atmosphere - the staff really could not do enough for us. Special mention must go to the bar staff, who really did go out of their way to make sure that we had delicious drinks at the double and got to know us very well. Javin in particular is quite a character! Similarly, the restaurant staff could not be more helpful and willing to do things for us. The food was, overall, very tasty and meals were good, with one or two mealtimes that were slightly less than great, sometimes the food could be a bit 'samey', but most of the time we enjoyed a tasty meal. Would have given anything for a tomato in the salad bar though! The entire hotel is clean, but as mentioned just a little dated. The one thing that let's this hotel down massively is the spa! The rudest, most unhelpful staff you may ever wish to find are here. We were shouted at for being late to an appointment because they had changed our appointment times and not told us! We were given a free 15 minutes head and shoulders 'taster' massage (two people getting treatments in the same room) - the therapists talked - in their own language - for the duration of the massage! Between us we had also booked a further 3-4 hours of treatments, but we cancelled because they were such an unpleasant duo to deal with - my advise if you are staying in this hotel AVOID THE SPA!

Hotel is dated and run down, its needs painted and maintained. The pool floor is all cracked, the plates are all chipped, there is bird poo on the tables and sun loungers, the food is poor and luke warm, the tennis court and mini golf are dirty and old, the hotel basically caters for French people, there was no entertainment and the one bar that needs are overhaul shuts at 10.30pm. Birds sit on the food and cats beg at your table. The reception staff are rude, the gym is dangerous with no aircon, the steam room smells. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else...............The room however was pretty, it was clean but there is no seaview due to overgrown plants / palm trees. The staff are lovely but clearly underpaid and treated like rubbish

Our experience at the HotelTarisa Resort and Spa was highlighted good service On arrival the beautiful garden attracted us made us feel so special At the front desk they welcomed us very well We felt very comfortable ,The facilities, including the Spa, multiple gourmet dining options, and expansive pool, are impeccably maintained, promising relaxation and indulgence. The setting is is done very well .HotelTarisa isn't a place to stay, it's a heaven of unforgettable travel experience.Not forgetting Shakti for his exceptional service and genuine care. He went out of way to assist us, made our visit a memorable one. and made our trip not just enjoyable but truly special. It's a must visit for those who loves traveling.

Just WOW! Stayed at this hotel along with my kid for a week & thoroughly enjoyed being here. Hotel staff is extremely polite, helpful & friendly - be it front desk, house keeping, staff at both restaurants. Rooms were big & clean. They had 2 swimming pools with a jacuzzi - all clean & maintained well. Hotel is beach facing & they offer a few complimentary water activities that we indulged in. They gave us packed breakfast too when we had an early start for sightseeing. Food at Tandoor restaurant is excellent. Breakfast spread is good (but no variety - we had the same spread for a week). Definitely recommend this hotel (don't go by the negative reviews).
