Aston Motel Yamba

We stayed in room 9 Room after reading the good reviews. Bedroom and living space was clean and the bed comfortable. In a quiet location close to town. Unfortunately there was a lot of mould in the bathroom, not only in the shower recess, but also all around the window frame in the bathroom. I hate mould. The water temp in the shower was hard to regulate. We mentioned the mould to the Manageress who was apologetic as she had only found out about it the previous day! Bewildered as to why they did not give us another room with no mould as there seemed to be plenty of vacancies.

Good for overnight stop over. Clean, good bedroom space, parking next to your door, comfy bed, easy check in and check out. Pillow needs replacements and for light sleeper like me - you can hear the high pitched pipes sound everytime someone uses the shower. Price - a bit expensive for a motel accomodation. Beautiful town and beaches.

I have stayed at Aston Motel several times in recent years, most recently in room 3. This room is well sized for a single, but may be tight with three in a twin room. Bathroom is tight and small even for a single. There is a kitchenette with toaster, jug / kettle and microwave and cutlery / crockery for three. The small fridge contained a small bottle of milk and some water. Unfortunately, the milk was gone off and unsafe to use although still a week out from the use by date. The room had a slight smell to it and overall was probably 8/10 for cleanliness. Towels were good but the shower soap dispenser was foam only which for me is a fail and it had black hairs on it too. Parking is a bit tight, especially if someone parks carelessly. On the plus side, it is a short (flat and paved) walk to the town centre shops and restaurants (but check when they are open - Monday and Tuesday outside of school holidays can be a challenge) The motel is away from the road and quiet. Options in Yamba during school holidays are a bit limited. I would stay here again, but will consider other options too.

Lovely hotel and staff. Located in nice quiet area of Yamba with short walk to both Golf Club and Bowlo. Short stroll into town. Rooms are very spacious and great facilities. Bathroom is cramped, a large person would struggle. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely staff. Very clean room. King size bed,mattress and pillows were very comfy. Nice grounds,so tidy. Lovely pool,spa and BBQ area. Nice and quiet . Easy walk to Main Street . Excellent value for money . Will definitely be back. Totally recommend

We stayed in 10 motels on our recent trip in both NSW and Qld, this motel was a standout. Clean, well equipped, nice pool and BBQ area, nice quite area, friendly staff and good value for money compared to others. The total package presented very well. Plus the meals at the attached club were excellent.

We had 4 nights over the NYE weekend break and enjoyed our stay!! It’s down the end of the main street and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We appreciated the cute little milk provided in the fridge for tea & coffee (that was replaced daily)! We also appreciated our room being made up each day with clean towels as well. It was quiet and we enjoyed the ‘old fashioned’ type atmosphere of the motel. People were sitting outside their rooms at tables & chairs having a quiet drink and chatting amongst themselves. Bbq and pool area available should you choose to use them. We enjoyed our stay at Yamba (liked seeing the kangaroos across the road as well). Very easy access to room. Air conditioning was good as well! Great stay 😊

I’ve recently stayed at this very nice motel.. In a quite part of Yamba. Walking distance to the cafes and the Yamba Golf and Country club.Clean spacious King room with a kitchen sink and cutlery . The bathroom was a little on the small side with a’ shall we say’ quite compact shower recess……Sliding door out to a table and chairs with a view of the swimming pool….Parking was at a rear door with an electronic entry system.. Travelling solo I felt quite secure at night.. I would definitely stay here again……….

We stayed here for some days, everything was clean, modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Also shops and cafes are near by. At the evening you can spot kangaroos. Good place to visit and enjoy yamba. People at reception are very friendly! 😉
