Having read the brilliant reviews before we booked, and having just arrived home after a wonderful week at Anne's beautiful homestay, there are not many adjectives left to describe our unique experience. We so appreciated her warm welcome, constant care ensuring we had all we needed, wonderful heated pool, spectacular views and gardens to sit in, great food, home comforts and Anne's help and advice on places to visit and great restaurants to eat at. Accommodation is spotless, luxurious, and filled with a vibrancy from the beautiful decor and Anne's gentle enthusiasm and happy dispotition. Quiet and peaceful location ideally situated for exploring the south Devon coast and nearby Dartmoor. A warm welcome with clean comfortable and well appointed accommodation with good breakfast as well. Lovely views across to Lyme bay. Would be very happy to make a return visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Halekulani. The rooms were spacious and spotless with great decor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast was delicious and Anne made us feel welcome and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable nothing was too much trouble. One thing we really enjoyed was private use of the swimming pool with its amazing sea views. It was excellent value for money and we look forward to staying there again soon

Short stay in a beautiful location. Spotless and cared for by a very professional host. Anne welcomed me and helped me check in and I enjoyed a beautiful room with a view over the hills to Dartmoor and also a small side seaview too. The bathroom was compact but completely adequate for me to have a bubble bath, Molton Brown washes provided which was a real surprise as was the TV in the bathroom which I watched while enjoying my bubble bath. I also had a Nespresso maker and milk frother as well as a fridge and a tablet with useful information and magazines and newspapers as well as podcasts. The stay was so short I really wish I could have stayed longer. The breakfast was delightful cooked by Anne and included all fresh produce, even freshly squeezed juice. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will be back.

Stayed in this property a coupes of times and really pleased with the delightful setting and service. Both rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It was so much cleaner and private than a hotel. The service is really excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Stayed here during a visit to Europe. I am a well travelled person and I must say this place is really exquisite. Tranquil, quiet, peaceful haven. Easy to find as owner sends detailed directions. Welcome drink on arrival. We chose the Dartmoor Superking bed room. This is a really peaceful room with two arm chairs and a large tv. There is even a TV in the bathroom. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and a very good choice. Even fresh fruit juice. We were well looked after and the host is very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble she even helped us with local restaurant bookings and places locally to visit. Thank you so much.

We booked the double sea view room .When my husband phoned to confirm our arrival Ann offered a bigger room for £20 more which we took but wished we hadn't.It was only later that we realised you can't stand up to have a shower as there is no head room ,you have to sit on the side of the bath and try and wash yourself. The sink is also very small and hard to clean your teeth ,or in my husbands case shave Breakfast is well cooked but no pastries, croissants or jams and marmalade was offered . The views are amazing from the house and it is spotless but the room spoiled it for us . On leaving we were asked how the room was ,which when we told Ann she said we should have said earlier as she would have moved us to the biggest room .Don't know why we weren't offered that in the first place as there was nobody else in the place . We were also asked to give a review as she wanted her score up and it was only one or two reviews away from getting up to 9.5 and the person that got her there would get a free stay ,don't like that .

Fantastic location and a beautiful building. A warm welcome from Anne upon arrival. The standard of care and attention to detail from Anne was second to none. Can highly recommend staying here. The views are amazing. Rooms are well decorated and incredibly cozy beds. Nothing was too much trouble .

Had a really lovely time.Anne was extremely helpfull.The location is great and the house is very comfortable.lovely views and nature all around .The breakfast was fantastic,all fresh and beautifully presented.We really appreciated Annes local knowledge and reccomendations for places to visit /eat.
