Comfort Green Motel is a very small motel, barely outside of Thayer. Check in was very pleasant, sweetest little couple own this property. Room was very outdated, but I did expect this based on previous reviews. Room was good sized and clean. Google maps shows this motel as permanently closed; it's not!!

As advertised, no frills motel. The sign and surrounding property could use sprucing up. It’s an older property but the room was very clean. Our room in the trailer addition was spacious and comfortable but the thin walls let a lot of unwanted noise into our room late at night. The plus was supporting a family owned business.

Had a great time at Comfort green motel, nice host, rooms were super clean and spacious, nice shower, microwave and fridge equipped.

The room was clean, everything worked....shower, TV, lights etc...It was exactly what we wanted, a reasonably priced overnight stay. There are no frills or extra's...no fancy lobby, no breakfast stuff etc. They did have a fire pit out back with seating. Staff was very friendly and you can tell that they work very hard at keeping the place going.

We knew the property had only a two star rating but the last review was in January. So we decided to try it. We liked it a basic country motel but clean with good beds. We had a room with a comfy little porch where we sat and watched the moon rise. We didn’t have to pay before we arrived Amd the owner eas

We stayed here the night of Friday, July 2nd, 2021. Our room was #25 and it was quite unpleasant. The room came with about ten houseflies that irritated us all night. The room was super weird, with multiple doors leading to a closet, a toilet, and the shower. The ceiling was angled in areas, and the ac blew strong no matter the setting. Finally, the window was only covered by a sheer fabric that was gappy and see thru. I know that the owner is trying his best to keep this motel in the middle of nowhere going in the midst of a resurgent pandemic, but perhaps it is time to retire. Next time, we will pass in thru and stay in Poplar Bluff.

The most comfortable bed and largest room. Clean with soft thick towels. Very homey. Not like a large sterile chain.
