Alexandra Elegance Bridging Generations

The Alexandra Elegance Hotel in Thassos, Greece is an excellent choice for travellers who want to relax and unwind by the beach. The hotel is situated in an idyllic location, immediately next to a beautiful pebble beach with very clear waters. Staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to make sure guests' needs are met. We arrived at the hotel a bit earlier than expected, and were warmly greeted and offered drinks at the bar while waiting for our room to be prepared. Another very pleasant surprise was when my wife made a somewhat detailed drink order from one waitress, and the next day a different waiter knew it already, saving us the trouble to explain it again. The restaurant and pool bar provide excellent service and the food is worth mentioning, as it is well prepared and presented. In addition to selecting a main course from a daily changing à la carte menu, there is a large buffet including local delicacies. The all inclusive covers most things on the menus, and there are star symbols on the menus that clearly mark the included items. You can also grab drinks from the pool bar to take to your private pool. The rooms are clean and in good condition. Even though the room was spacious, it would benefit from some more storage for clothes and hooks to hang up clothes and towels. The rooms are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including good air conditioning. The only drawback of this hotel is the thin walls, which can sometimes be a bit noisy due to the shared walls with neighboring rooms. The hotel has a private beach, and we spent a lot of time swimming and snorkeling. The beach is also equipped with sun loungers and parasols reserved for hotel guests. We never had any trouble finding a free sun chair. There is a nearby town called Limenaria, where you can find cafés, restaurants, and shops. The walk from Limenaria to the hotel (along the footpath, not along the road) is worth it for the splendid views, but it can get very hot while the sun is up and a part of the route near Limenaria lacks streetlights. Taking a taxi to and from Limenaria is a good alternative if you don't feel like walking. There are also cute shops very close by in the village of Potos. However, there are no museums, ancient ruins, or other sights of that type nearby. Overall, the Alexandra Elegance Hotel is an excellent choice for those who want to relax, indulge in good food, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the region. The hotel's facilities and services make it a great option for those looking for a tranquil and relaxing getaway.

We went for an all-inclusive couples holiday to the Alexandra Elegance. What is sold as a grand suite I would not class as a suite but I am not in the hotel to sit in the room. Therefore the rooms are OK for me. The food is excellent, close to fine dining every day with the option to eat authentic Greek food in the tavern of the neighbour hotel. The service is second to none. The staff is very friendly, attentive and I felt welcome. I even got a birthday cake. Overall, 5 stars and a full recommendation. We will surely be coming back

Beautifull place and sorroundings Very very Pleasant and helpfull staff. Everything very Well serviced and cleaned, both inside and outside. We really enjoyed the calm and quiet luxury. Super service and great Food

The only reason that I have not given 5 Stars is due to the numerous issue we experienced for the first 4 days of our 14 night stay with the 2 rooms we were allocated. We booked through TUI and the description of the room clearly stated that it included a sofa bed which would have been ideal for our 11 year old son. On arrival to the room, we were greeted with a chair bed which was tiny. Clearly not a sofa bed although the TUI rep tried her hardest to convince herself that it was a sofa bed. On top of this, the safe in the wardrobe broke down twice in the space of a few hours meaning we had to call people out and the shower leaked which meant we had water all over our bathroom floor. It was only through perseverance that we managed to get moved to another room the day after. This room did provide a proper sofa bed yet the TUI rep was still arguing that the original room had been furnished with a sofa bed !! Unfortunately, the second room was beset with issues for the next couple of days. The shower leaked in exactly the same place as the one in the original room, there were clear signs of damp and mould on the outside wall of the bathroom which had been given a quick slap of paint to try and cover up, the maid call pad system wasn`t working so were interrupted by house keepers when not convenient to us, the door entry system stopped working so we were locked out of our room one morning and the electrics kept tripping in the room meaning we lost power numerous times and the air con kept going off in the night. All of the problems took up our time in reporting them and presenting us with non stop hassle for the first 4 days. The TUI rep was in denial about the situation but I do have to say that the Hotels Operations Manager was fantastic in his response and we were given various gestures of goodwill in recognition for the inconvenience caused. The Hotel and facilities are fantastic and the staff are what make this place so special. A bit thanks to Sophia who looked after us admirably and tried her hardest to help sort out the problems. It was lovely to have our own pool which we used a lot towards the end of the day and the main pool is just heaven with amazing views out to sea. The beach although pebbly is great and staff are on hand for anything you need. We stayed B&B as we wanted to experience the numerous Tavernas in Potos and there are some great venues to eat out in. One word of warning for people looking to book a Junior Suite with a Private Pool, both TUI and the Hotel on their respective websites are misrepresenting the rooms and showing some images from inside the Grand Suites which are the room level above. I pointed this out to both TUI and the Hotel but neither have corrected the images at this point in time which is very disappointing. It was such a shame to have experienced the issues that we did but overall we had an amazing time and would like to thank all of the staff for contributing towards our enjoyment.

Lovely chilled holiday We were lucky enough to have a room with private pool and this was worth every penny. The rooms are nicely furnished, clean and modern. We were on a half board basis and this meant no mini bar, which was a bit of a surprise. A real shame actually - as we would have happily paid for items used and this would have been more convenient for our arrival. (The resort shop doesn’t have any drinks or many snacks available). We had no milk provided for the tea/coffee making facilities in the room & also worth noting there was was no iron/ironing board. We used room service a few times (mainly snack bar items) and the food was ok. The main restaurant was buffet and we really enjoyed all the food throughout our stay. Lovely flavours and variety. The staff in the restaurant are friendly and polite. Plenty of tables available and it never seemed overly busy. The restaurant has the most AMAZING views of the sea and surrounding area - breathtaking in fact! The staff across the resort really are great! We only encountered one bartender who was a bit grumpy (he didn’t seem to want to serve us, but maybe he was just having a bad day). Other reviews said there was an offer of champagne breakfast to the room but this wasn’t mentioned to us. We also found that there was a lack of information in the room about the resort. Just the basics would have been useful like restaurant times & what is nearby etc. Our pool was cleaned daily, which was great. My only criticism would be this was usually late afternoon. It would probably be more beneficial if this was done first thing in the morning, so you could make the most of a clean pool for the whole day. The main pool area at Elegance really is lovely - plenty of spare beds and no need to get to the pool early. Reception for Elegance is the same place as check in for Alexandra Beach Resort; this was unexpected but the staff were really friendly & helpful. We felt that this area and the surrounding could do with a bit of a makeover, but as we spent very little time there it wasn’t an issue. Alexandra Beach Hotel seemed very busy in comparison to Elegance and we personally preferred the relaxing vibe of Elegance. We were only there for 7 nights but we have come home feeling refreshed and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Elegance - especially for anyone wanting a peaceful holiday with fantastic views.

We spent 2 weeks here with our 16 year old son, the reason for choosing this hotel was the ethos of spending the last holidays with your teenage children. So I do need to say the cons first, there isn't a teen zone with faster WiFi, there isn't water sports to try once for free as listed on website/tui and the roof bar at the sister hotel which was a lovely place to sit for a drink when we came before was closed we were told because of covid. Having said this please do not let this change your mind about this hotel, as from the moment we arrived we relaxed. The room was spotless and cleaned twice a day we had a room with its own pool which we would definitely recommend, Elena seemed to be in charge of the guests and would do anything asked of her. We could have champagne breakfast in bed once a week this was heaven and a really lovely touch. We had clean beach towels left each day with a lovely bag to put them in. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and some different cooked things every day, however if you wanted something different you could ask. We felt really looked after The pool area was quiet which was nice no young children there, although the English schools hadn't broken up when we were there, but it's small, the infinity pool has an amazing view, there was no fighting for sunbeds we could go whatever time we wanted and there was a great bar service. The beach is pebbly I would recommend those rubber beach shoes, there were plenty of sunbeds here too, there is a beach bar serving snacks and light meals and service can be summoned with a red button on the parasol again a lovely touch. There is a pontoon out into the sea. Overall we had an amazing holiday and decided this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Europe, it exceeded our expectations even with the disappointment of the missing amenities.

Absolutely brilliant! Everything in our stay - from beginning to end - was excellent. From the welcoming on our arrival - drinks, hospitality and exceptionally friendly staff that showed us around - through the whole stay, which was peaceful, luxury, perfect - to the end, for all the care and attention from all the staff. We have booked a room with private pool. It was spacious, clean, all needed amenities where present. The pool gets cleaned every day, your sunbed towels gets replaced more than you need, there is coffee capsules, water, everything. We are so thankful to the staff, who made our stay actually really special. The were there for us all the time. This hotel is brand new(2022)

We would like to kindly thank all staff at Alexandra Elegance. My family and friends had a great time there thanks to the great team; unique hospitality, tranquil place, wonderful location to spend holiday, relax and recharge. They are paying a specific attention to all your needs and do all possible so that you can fell welcome. It was for us a unique experience and I would recommend this to any without a blink. We spent a week in the new Alexandra Elegance, near Potos. We booked a room with a private pool, which did not disappoint. The size of the pool was perfect, the patio and room size were generous. The common pools and restaurant areas provided for great oportunities to relax, not being noisy of crowded at all. Food was varied and tasty. We loved the idea of the hotel having its own veggie and aromatic plants garden. The staff was always available, smiling and helpful. The beach is rocky, but clean and wide, while Potos sandy beach is only 10 mins by foot away.
