Alexandra Golden Boutique Hotel-Adults Only

We have just returned from a lovely week’s holiday at this wonderful hotel, and honestly there is nothing negative to say about. It is fantastic. From the accommodation and the beach, to the food and the staff, everything was outstanding. We were in room 206 and it was lovely, with a private pool. Everything was kept immaculately clean and the well stocked the whole time we were there. The meals are buffet style, apart from a choice of two main meals each night at dinner. The buffet isn’t as large as some hotels we have stayed at, but this is to it’s credit, as the food is of a high standard. The staff couldn’t be any better. Every single staff member we met was polite, friendly and helpful. They even managed to fix my husband’s glasses when one of the arms came loose! It was fantastic service all round. The island of Thasos itself is beautiful, so combining that with this fantastic hotel, meant we have had a really wonderful holiday.

We visited the last 2 weeks of July. As soon as Anastasios the hotel manager found out we were celebrating our 45th anniversary he upgraded us. They baked a cake and food & drinks were gratis. Wonderful friendly staff.

Have just returned from 2 week holiday at this fantastic hotel. We don't usually do 5 star hotels when we holiday in Greece so this was always going to be an upgrade..... but what an upgrade! The hotel is wonderful but the staff that work there are something else! They couldn't do enough to ensure the holiday went perfectly, from the lovely staff at breakfast (we were there for B&B) to the wonderful pair (Christina and Nikos) that served drinks and snacks on the beach and also the delightful and friendly girls in reception. We were upgraded when we arrived to a sea-view and the room given was perfect including a lovely view from a perfect balcony. The food was also very good. Breakfast every day was something we both looked forward to with so much variation on offer. We also had dinner a couple of times which was equally as good. I'm really struggling to think of anything negative so this really was the perfect break.

The Alexandra Golden Boutique Hotel in Thassos is small, but beautifully formed. We spent a gloriously relaxing 14 nights there, and found everything first class, starting with the reception staff and continuing with all the other staff members we met, always friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and with more than adequate facilities, as was the bathroom. Food at the hotel was excellent, we only had breakfasts, with an abundance of choice on offer. Two swimming pools which were seldom used, not surprising as the beach, with very comfortable beds and umbrellas was clean and the sea was glorious. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, but please note it is adults only, and we look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

We visited this amazing hotel 11 /6/2023 - 25/6/2023. We came with our friends who we have travelled extensively with around the world. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we knew we were not to be disappointed. The manager greeted us warmly as did the reception team. The manager Anastasios known as Tassas surprised us with an upgrade to one of the new swim up rooms. We stayed in rooms 303 and 304. The rooms were furnished to a high standard. A roomy terrace to sunbathe and a swim up area. Toiletries provided were of a high standard. Tea and coffee making facilities and the bonus of a mini bar. The room was clean and air conditioned. Cleaners attended daily and made several visits to ensure all our needs were met. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. The meals were 5 star plus. We stayed all inclusive and were not disappointed with the high quality and presentation of meals and drinks. Tassos the restaurant manager has trained his staff well and each member knew how to maintain the standards expected of a 5 star establishment. All staff were friendly and engaging and we spent many a happy day conversing and laughing with them. Joanna in the main restaurant was always helpful and asked about our day with interest. Sofia the breakfast waitress who stocked all the food areas was also a delight to speak to. Nikos on reception helped us with our Greek lessons and we had an exam daily. Still waiting for our certificates. The service at the beach bar The Dunes was excellent also. A pleasant way to have lunch with a gorgeous view. Ilyas the waiter was always very friendly and chatty. Christina and Nicolas also gave service above and beyond on their beach rounds. They always waved at us and asked about our day. We cannot sum up enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. We did not want to come home. We made several friends and felt totally relaxed after our stay. Just to mention other staff members who helped make our stay perfect The Captain Maria in the restaurant Kalliopli (sorry for the spelling) Enime Alyssia in the bar area who never forgot our order Thassos the cocktail master who made divine cocktails Special mention to Tassos the food and beverages manager maître d who spent many an hour with us laughing and gave us good information about the resort and areas to visit. he also had a keen interest in the wine he served which exceeded our expectations. All in all we cannot praise the hotel enough and all the staff whom we cannot remember all names were friendly and engaging. The grounds were well maintained and clean. The beach area is one of the best we have been to. Loved the call system to order drinks from the sunbeds. The gym and spa were clean and the gym equipment was a good standard for holiday use. We had treatments in the spa which did not disappoint. A great place to relax! Very good staff, delicious restaurant, pleasant spa. Friendly environment. Comfortable swimming pools, large and beautiful rooms in the hotel.Excellent breakfasts, delicious lunches and dinners on the menu. The waiters know all the guests by name.We come here for the third time and are already planning the next visit.I want to return to this hotel! This hotel has become the best for our family ! Everything was excellent! We loved our room with the lovely terrace, junior suite with a shared pool. Bed was comfy and interior lovely. Beach has comfy sun beds and service from the beach bar. Food was excellent as well as the service. We definitely will come back.

We have just returned from another wonderful stay at this hotel and enjoyed it just as much the second time! One small blip with the room we were first allocated, but this was swiftly and gratefully rectified for us - thanks to the manager and reception staff for giving sorting this. Set on the most beautiful soft sandy beach and stunning crystal clear ocean to swim in. The stresses and strains of life melt away in this beautiful spot. All staff are super friendly and attentive - brilliant service once again! Thanks to Christina and Tasos in the bar for your humour and delicious cocktails, to Nikos who works tirelessly every day on the beach bringing drinks and snacks, Illias and Spiros in Dunes for their friendly charm and super service, the restaurant manager and all the lovely staff in the main restaurant and housekeeping who keep the rooms spotlessly clean/deliver fresh towels. Keep doing what you’re doing! We will definitely be back! : )

What amazing stay we have just had. This truly is a 5* hotel. The accommodation, the quality of the food and drink is just superb. Topped by the service which was simply excellent. Huge shout out to the restaurant manager who kept an eye on every detail to make our stay so special and last but no means least Christina, who along with the many cuddly cats (so many kitties), was the highlight of our stay. She couldn’t do enough for us, she kept us company every evening with great stories and made sure we always had a drink in hand. Best resort we have stayed in, thank you to this amazing team!
