Idelson Hotel

Stayed in this hotel in Tel aviv clean room with fridge and comfortable double bed. Air- con, Next to shops and bakery, 10 walk to the beach. I went away for 3 days and was back late I arranged with reception to have room ready which was cleaned and keys were left out for me and my luggage was safe as well. I had no issues would recommend. Friendly staff would stay here again. 👌 🇮🇪

IDELSON HOTEL - Should be called’: RIDDLESON’ with COCKROACHES HOTEL more like!!! On Agoda.com the images of the Idelson, look ok, looks like a clean room, close to the beach of course images don’t show everything. The room I booked (room 4) had 2 x live COCKROACHES in it, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, (the bathroom looked grimy BTW) if there was 2 COCKROACHES, I’m sure there would be more, but I wasn’t staying to find out!! The room had a really strong smell of air freshers, thinking retrospectively it was probably ROACH killer that had been sprayed to try and keep their PESTS at bay, that obviously didn’t work! Imagine entering the room and not seeing any cockroaches, having them crawl over you and your stuff, lay eggs etc…🤮 Or wake in the night to go to the loo and being surrounding by COCKROACHES!!!! Does not bare thinking about!!!! There was no receptionist working when I arrived 23:30 approx, so I couldn’t speak to anyone directly, that part of the ‘hotel’ where a ‘receptionist desk’ was locked up. To gain access to the building/my room, they emailed me a code, they were responding via that email until I emailed them back with images of the COCKROACHES telling them I couldn’t stay in their hotel. I continued to complain the Idelson and to Agoda.com. The Idelson, still took their payment 3 days later from my current account, neither would refund me my money. I checked my travel insurance it covered everything but this situation. I was then left walking the streets of Israel, as a solo female traveller not knowing if I’d find another hotel, with no internet as my data had ran out! Luckily Abratel Suites on Ge’ula Street did and took me in lovely suite - no cockroaches! At a cost to me of, £145 for the night. I then found another more reasonably priced hotel the Brown Brut for £60 odd pound a night - which was wonderful room there. Take this a warning, if one room has cockroaches others will too, if not the whole building, DO NOT BOOK IDELSON HOTEL!

The Idelson Hotel is not far from the beach and the stuff is very kind . The rooms are spacios and have air conditioning. This place is ok for city break in Tel Aviv . My experience in the Hotel is good .

Room had multiple dead cockroaches and a live one. Was also filthy aside. The manager was rude and unhelpful (when he finally bothered to turn up) and didn't offer any refund nor compensation of any form. Had to cut short our stay because of this disgusting hotel.

The room itself is acceptable for a short stay. Unfortunately, getting into the room is an absolute nightmare. Despite numerous phone calls with the booking agent and the hotel manager and receiving assurances that I would have access to my room after 9 pm (hardly an outrageous check-in time), I turned up to a closed reception. Luckily, an Israeli friend was on hand to phone the manager (who doesn’t seem to pick up if the incoming phone number is not local) and I got the digital code for the main door. The key to my room was inside the room, on the desk. I had to get up early to attend a meeting across town. There was no hot water and still no one on reception. Also, despite signs posted on the inside door of the room, there was no internet access. This was a very big problem. During my meeting, when I had internet access, I mailed the hotel to ask for the internet codes and also asked when someone would be available at reception so I could pay. No response. I shouldn’t have to chase up the management in order to pay!! Apparently my money isn’t good enough for them.

Another small, no-frills hotel. No beverage service in the rooms, but coffee packets and hot water in the small lobby. The bathroom is very small and the commode is located so close to the shower that it is difficult to manage. Overall, good for one night or so. About a ten minute walk to the beach.

I booked and paid for a room at the Idelson Hotel for July 11th. I arrived at 9;10pm to a locked front door. I'm not kidding. Locked. I'm looking at the reception desk and there is no one there. Another guest let me in and I waited in the lobby for an hour. During this time there is no answer on the phone number provided. Eventually, I left to look for alternative accommodation. I was upset and angry. In the end, I left Tel Aviv and went to a different city to sleep. I gave up on the second day of the conference I'd paid hundreds of shekels to attend and the hope of waking up near the sea. At no point has the hotel been in touch to apologize or offer compensation. Avoid this hole.

in 2017/2018 Idelson was a simple but cozy hotel, run by a nice and pleasant family of Israelis of Romanian descent, so I booked the room confidently having been their guest several times. I have discovered too late, at my expenses (200EUR), that the hotel changed ownership and has been converted into a pig sty. There wasn't even the toilet paper in the bathroom! I had to yell to have some towels. The owner and his personnel simply disappeared and didn't answer to subsequent phone calls. The air conditioning was not working, and its absence converted into hell a stay in Tel Aviv in the late month of May, even during the night. I am furious: this accommodation is a total scam. I am inquiring at the Tourist Office or at the local Police what I can do to be refunded.

Hotel con camere minuscole, il gestore davvero poco professionale, ricordo che una mattina chiesi 2 teli in più ed ebbe una razione isterica e del tutto inappropriato, ma il vero Handicap é la pulizia inesistente! Per non parlare delle pulizie in camera in cui a malapena avevano premura a rifare i letti una volta ogni 2 giorni…
