This was a trip to treat myself to a belated Leap Year birthday, and it was perfect in every way. I loved how attentive the staff were, the gorgeous room and warm welcome, and the lovely grounds. I felt special and looked after, and I loved walking the grounds which were immaculately kept. What a special place.

Had the most wonderful stay at Cliveden. Visited alone for a bit of rest and relaxation - as I’m a busy mum of four! The whole team were so welcoming. From the moment you hand your car keys over to the valet until you depart you are treated with respect and smiles. The actual House is full of beautiful portraits and hidden corners with antiques dotted around. I visited the spa daily and had a wonderful massage from Imogen. I very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tubs outside with the wind howling at the same time! The front desk staff were helpful and showed me on a map how to take a 2 hour invigorating walk around the Estate. I stayed at the Chinese room, which was definitely different to my usual style hotel rooms. Lots of small touches in the room showed someone had made the effort to think what someone may require for the duration of their stay. I look forward to returning!!

What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

We were fortunate enough to have got married here a couple of weeks ago and we couldn’t have been happier. Annabel was amazing and helped us every step of the way. Thank you to all concerned for making our special day the best. We look forward to celebrating many anniversaries with you in the future.

My husband surprised me for my birthday with a stay here and it was magical and memorable from the moment we arrived. I was nervous about whether we could bring our newborn baby with us but called ahead and was assured it was absolutely alright and that there would be a cot in the room. When we were shown to our room, we were delighted to learn we had been upgraded at no additional charge, and had chilled champagne and desserts waiting for us, along with a massive birthday balloon display, and also every baby item we could need- even toiletries and nappies in her size! Every detail is thoughtfully considered and the staff really cannot do enough for you- I felt like royalty. Breakfast was phenomenal and the French dining room where it's served is stunning. The house and gardens, as well as the pool and spa are exceptional and everything is in pristine condition. Had a fabulous massage from Poppy as well. We did encounter a very strange situation in which a couple of elderly guests were offended by the existence of our sleeping newborn in common areas, and we were so appreciative that the hotel staff vehemently stood up for us against some fairly shocking behaviour, and assured us that our baby was very welcome. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and supported after a very uncomfortable incident. Worth noting that this is in no way a reflection of Cliveden House guests, who were otherwise all very friendly to us and our baby. The impressive service from management cannot be overstated- thank you especially to Caroline and Sebastian- along with every other member of staff. We have already recommended Cliveden House to several family and friends for a special occasion. We hope to return again soon!

No one can contest how magnificent cliveden is. I’ve been a fan for years with many lunches, dinners, afternoon teas and work events so it’s always been a bucket list event to stay the night. My husband booked it as a surprise and the service, people and spa are outstanding. The down side for us believe it or not was that we were upgraded to a room in the spa but it’s the house I’d always wanted to stay in. I didn’t realise where the upgrade was as my husband checked us in and I didn’t want to make a fuss. The room was lovely with a little terrace with a hot tub which was nice but there was no view apart from a wall and a bush separating us from the outdoor pool. There was A hole in between the wall and bush where people leaving the spa could see through and it was hot so very busy. To top it off we were woken at 6.30am by the spa being opened. We could hear chatting, doors slamming and I’m sure I could hear a kettle going on. Chatting and doors continued every time someone came into the spa. I have complained because we had paid so much money, being woken up was not acceptable. Cliveden respond quickly and eventually resolved it although it’s a shame as I’m not sure we will ever be able to justify staying again. Just one other bit of information is they put a service charge on everything including our room of which no one even came to. Overall though it is a very special place and the people make you feel special I’ll be returning for my dinners, afternoon teas and lunches in the future

Celebrated a 90th birthday with afternoon tea. The setting was perfect and the service wonderfully attentive without being intrusive. Great choice of teas to accompany an excellent array of savoury and sweet tea items. Will definitely be returning.

Went for champagne afternoon tea for my mother's 60th birthday. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped to make my mother's birthday really special. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
