Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Very unique place and great for photos. The rooms only have fans and not AC so fair warning. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially jemilah at the front desk and David in the restaurant. Carol in the restaurant was one of my favorite people.. she was always happy, professional friendly and accommodating and helped me feel at home when I was there. We would go to lunch at Taita and Carol would also work there and greet me with care. The staff at Taita also helped me with problems like Neomi and Jane. They made sure all my problems were taken care of. And Florence was a great in the dining area. She kept checking to see if I needed anything. I had a great time on my game drives with Ngumbao he was an expert driver and tour guide and I saw a lot of animals with him especially during the raining season.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the beautiful scenery. The menu was fantastic, and I can't remember the last time I had such great meals away from home. The food was excellent, and our waitress, Crescencia, was incredibly professional. She kindly helped me take photos and videos of myself and my surroundings, all while keeping a warm smile. She is truly the best. The entire staff was very kind, providing the best hospitality I've ever experienced. My birthday celebration was perfect, and the cake was delicious. Your meals are delicious, chef of the day Catherine, keep up.I am a vegeterian but enjoyed every meal. I remember the chef even making a special meal for me just to make sure I am satisified and happy.The game drives superb, I saw cheetah the first time courtesy of Martin whose skills and experience lead us to seeing this shy animal and rare to see.Korbin, you surprised us with your story about the hotel establishment since 1973. And they way you mastered your slogan " where magic never ends" The environment is spotless clean, William thanks for reaching out to us at 11pm just to know if our environment was serene, and your morning engagement during cleaning, be blessed. Isaac and Dorothy, remember the cocktails you guys recommended to us, very very nice. We even had to do a take away. Your hospitality is amazing. To the management team, lead by Gideon, thanks by the way for your time Gideon to sit and walk us through the journey of your superior customer experience. Whatever you guys are doing for your staffs, keep up and do more. We learnt and observed a lot of customer care skills from all your staffs. We came as guests but we learnt a lot and felt very challenged by the manner in which your staffs handled us, very caring, happy courteous and concerned. To them it is beyond the service to not just meet customer expectations but exceed them. Hurray , you deserve a world class facility award. To all aspiring guests, with Salt Lick and Taita Hills,memories will be made.

I enjoyed the experience and scenery. The menu was great, I can’t remember the last time I had good meals away from home like this. The food was great, Chef Anish is truly professional in how she took care of us, she answered all our questions, kept a smile and was warm she is the best.

We escaped Nairobi's hustle for a relaxing break at Salt Lick Lodge (April 14th-17th). Disconnecting was pure bliss! Delicious food, amazing staff (shout-out to Chef Wycliffe for the killer chicken and cake!), and unforgettable wildlife (Elephants, Baboons, giraffe, monitor lizard, antelopes etc) sightings on safari. Bonus: learned a ton about Kenya's history at Taita Hills. Perfect digital detox for non-beach lovers like me!

This place is truly amazing. We stayed for 1 night, the rooms were lovely, the food was delicious, staff were welcoming and the animals we saw were just wonderful. Am so lucky to have gone here. Although not many animals came to the lake we saw so many when we went out on safari.

great hotel, the staff is amazing especially the guide René and Suzy. These are people who showed us incredible things, they are extraordinary. the people are so adorable

The hospitality is amazing, food is great and the staff especially driver Philemon and chef Wycliffe have excellent customer service.
