FRAUD ALERT: I am usually not a person who gives bad reviews. My first tym ever writing a bad review.Sad to end the year with a bad note. But this incident left me with no choice. If you wish to ruin your family vacation. This is the place. Ohh.. What a terrible experience with the hotel management. I have booked via Trip.com because there was option of free cancellation since i was travelling with my kid and i like being flexible on the schedule. I booked my stay from 22 to 25th December.However our plans changed and i requested cancellation and simultaneously booked from 22nd to 24th December because i was quite confident that the first booking will be cancelled and refunded, because usually good agencies like makemytrip and others have done it in the past for us. After we checked in on 22nd i have requested the person in front desk (sumilon resort) to confirm my cancellation as well. I couldnot recall his name. But he assured that it will be done. In the meantime i was communicating multiple times with Trip.com while i was on holiday. My mind was more focussed on the cancellation than enjoying with family because it was about cancellation of 1220 sgd which is someones monthly salary in Singapore(I would love to donate this amount to charity then giving this to Frauds). I was also communicating with the front desk person again and again and until day of check out. They nodded their heads with so much confidence. Now the hotel people and Trip.com said that they cannot refund it because it was last minute cancellation. ******** excuse. My question is if its last minute for you then why you put free cancellation option in the website. Now Trip.com is trying to negotiate with me by giving 122 sgd trip coins. Hahha.. Are you kidding me?

Dont come to Sumilon island resort. Its not worth your money and mental sanity.
