Stratford Suburban Motel

We booked for two days and paid $386. It’s a good deal compared to the hotels 5 minutes away. You will pay double downtown. The owners Mike and Mandy were very friendly. Mike gave us a map and some suggestions. There is an amazing binder in the room with lots of information about Stratford and suggestions about restaurants and places to see. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The pool has a fence around it with trees shading the area. And there lots of lounge chairs and tables. I counted 19 and two tables. And on one table there is a basket with insect repellent. The rooms are clean and a fair size. There are sliding glass doors at the back of the room leading to the back of the motel which is a field. We saw a rabbit. If I go back to Stratford I would definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay when catching a Festival show, or just visiting Stratford. So nice to be treated like family, by a family in a classic motel environment. Great pool! Helpful staff, they answered all our questions and gave us some great tips about Stratford. Will be back.

We just stayed here for the first time and were very impressed. The room was nicely appointed and extremely clean. King size bed was comfy. Lots of little extras like a Keurig machine, little chocolates and a well organized information binder that included the tv channel guide. The owners were very friendly and professional. We’ll definitely be back.

Very clean, welcoming, beautiful grounds, pool, great view out our sliding glass door window. Excellent service, friendly proprietors. Modest decor. We've stayed at several Stratford motels and this has been the nicest experience so far. And good price point.

Fantastic little motel. It is 2 star and I've reviewed it as such. It is a bit dated and our room showed some signs of previously repaired water damage, but was clean and warm (also had A/c for summer months). It was quiet and most guests seemed to be on the other side of retirement age. Pool are was nice as was the gazebo - not that we used them due to weather in October. We were there for the Stratford Festival and the hotel owner/manager was very knowledgable about the events/shows, told us where to park for free. Would stay again.

Booked a trip to Stratford fairly last minute and ended up staying here at the Suburban Hotel last weekend for a couple nights. We don't normally stay at Hotel's but l have to say from the moment we checked in and spoke with the owner Mike, we felt like we were family. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the pool area was very private and cozy. A huge binder with all the information you could ask for about Stratford was very informative. We met Mandy the next day and she was super nice as well. Trust me, l've travelled extensively and this is a gem of a place and you won't be disappointed.

The owners, Matt and Mandy and their son were friendly and helpful. They made great suggestions for restaurants and where to park. There was a binder full of info on places to eat and things to do in our room as well. Everything was clean and fresh. Would definitely stay there again.

Warm reception and comfortable room. As this was our first time here, it was a bit tricky to find it, the first try, off the highway. Once we had checked in, no problem the second time! Our room was large enough, with all the amenities one would expect. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room and I would have liked to find milk in the fridge as I am not a fan of chemical Coffee-mate. Good TV reception and choice of channels and very comfortable beds. The bathroom shower had great pressure, adding to the comfort of the room. I really hate weak, dribbly showers! We would stay here again as the windows of our room faced a plowed field and the autumn colours were spectacular! As the motel is about 5km from town, it would be great if the owners could provide a breadkfast for clients...even a small buffet.....

We are glad that all the accommodations in the town of Stratford were full when we made a last minute decision to visit the area - otherwise we would not have discovered the Suburban Motel! This is a fine, very clean, small motel, several kilometres east of Stratford. Surrounded by lovely rural farmland and sheltered from the nearby two lane highway by a treed landscaped area, in which is a nicely located and maintained pool. The owners were very friendly and are longtime residents on the area. Lots of information about the area in probably the most extensive binder I have ever come across in a motel or hotel. Being far out of town, there are no services nearby, so driving to a restaurant is required. If we are back in the area, we will probably try to stay here again.
