Robert the Bruce Apartment

This property is in an excellent location. It's a good thing that Tesco's is across the street as we had to buy toilet paper (were only given 1.5 rolls for two nights). The towels were plentiful but smelled musty and dank - we had to wash them to use. The communication from the property owners/management is abrupt and crass. An email stated that "all items in the apar**ent have been photographed and numbered and your card will be autocharged and details given to police should anything be broken or taken". I'd have cancelled if it wasn't a non-refundable booking based on that alone. Do not book here if you have children as the apar**ent is filled wall to wall with redundant furniture and is overflowing with fake crystal ornaments and other unappealing, yet obviously treasured from their email, glass decor items. Overall, don't stay here.

Fantastic stay in a perfectly located apar**ent. Clean, well-equipped and within walking distance of all amenities and tourist attractions. Spacious and great value for money. Only 2 minor drawbacks in my opinion. Firstly, like all older properties, everything creaks! Doors, floors and bed frames. No sneaking about. Secondly, lots of breakables. There seems to be glass everywhere - tables, shelves, ornaments. Probably something to consider if you have an energetic toddler.
