You'll also find a variety of unique shops, restaurants, and cafes just steps away from your front door. It's also only 12 minutes from Nags Head beaches. Inside the second floor 690sqft studio, you'll find a comfortable queen-sized bed and a modern bathroom with an in suite washer and dryer. The living area is equipped with a cozy sofa, smart TV with cable, and internet. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and all the necessary utensils and dishes to whip up a delicious meal.Start your morning watching the sunrise just over the sound viewable from the front of the unit and outdoor areaway. For your convenience, we provide all linens, towels, and toiletries. You can pull right up to the steps of the building to unload and there are many areas to park including behind the building (my everyday go to), in front, street, and a huge new city parking lot 1 block away. Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. There is a private deck and entrance leading into a living and dining area equipped with a Roku tv. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen size bed with another Roku tv, and a full bathroom with a tile shower. A private hot tub too! We look forward to sharing "This old house" with others! Built at the turn of the 20th century, the house has weathered many storms and with a lot of TLC she is ready to weather more. This unique space has all a traveling surfer or couple would need to enjoy all Avon has to offer. Centrally located, the beach is a 10 minute walk away as are numerous restaurants and epic sunset spots such as Avon Harbor. The suite is a completely private space, as is the outdoor shower and hot tub. Guests are free to enjoy the suite in its entirety including the private outdoor living space. We live in the upstairs space as a small family of 4. We do not party or stay up late but during the day you may hear our young daughter from time to time. We always try and be as respectful as possible! Always tranquil, there is no other neighborhood quite like Scarborough Town own Hatteras island. We have laundry facilities upstairs which we are happy to share with guests if they find themselves in need to freshen up their boardies after a few long, hot days on the beach.
