A cozy paradise with turtles by the shore and kind hearts💕🏝️ Our vacation in Gili exceeded all expectations, and this amazing hotel is a great credit for this. We found exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, cozy corner where every detail is created for relaxation. The premier room was made with comfort. The bed is incredibly comfortable and soft. The cleanliness was perfect, which was monitored daily, and the snow-white linen added a sense of homely comfort. A special delight is the bathroom with an open roof — taking a shower under the stars was magical.🛁 The hotel is surrounded by greenery and bright colors, 🌸 behind which you can see the tremulous care of the staff. And right across the street, literally 30 seconds away, begins the best beach with giant sea turtles! Seeing them every day by the shore is priceless.🐢 Furry residents: Cute red cats live on the territory, which create a special atmosphere of home warmth. Be sure to feed them when you stop here! And just behind the hotel there is a local shelter for cats. If you have the opportunity, take some food there or make a small donation. It's a small thing for you, but it's a huge help for them.🐈 Special thanks to manager Sam! This man has a big heart. 💖He was incredibly attentive, helped us solve any issues, and told stories about the island and local life with such love that we got into this place even more. Sam, we sincerely wish you a speedy recovery and good health! It is thanks to such sympathetic and kind people like you that such places become truly special.🫶 This hotel and the entire island of Gili gave us not just a vacation, but a feeling of harmony and warmth. We left with the feeling that we would definitely come back. Мы нашли именно то, что искали: тихий, уютный уголок, где каждая деталь создана для расслабления. Номер премьер был выполнен с комфортом. Кровать невероятно удобная и мягкая. Чистота идеальная за которой следили ежедневно, а белоснежное бельё добавляло ощущение домашнего уюта. Особый восторг это ванная с открытой крышей — принимать душ под звёздами было волшебно. Отель утопает в зелени и ярких цветах, за которыми виден трепетный уход персонала. А прямо напротив, буквально в 30 секундах ходьбы, начинается лучший пляж с гигантскими морскими черепахами! Видеть их каждый день у самого берега — бесценно. Пушистые жители: На территории живут милые рыжие котики, которые создают особую атмосферу домашнего тепла. Обязательно покормите их когда остановитесь здесь! А сразу за отелем находится местный приют для кошек. Если у вас будет возможность, отнесите туда немного корма или сделайте небольшой donation. Для вас это мелочь, а для них — огромная помощь. Отдельная благодарность — менеджеру Сэму! Этот человек с большим сердцем. Он был невероятно внимателен, помогал решать любые вопросы и с такой любовью рассказывал истории об острове и жизни местных, что мы проникались этим местом ещё больше. Сэм, мы всей душой желаем вам скорейшего восстановления и крепкого здоровья! Именно благодаря таким отзывчивым и добрым людям, как вы, такие места становятся по-настоящему особенными. The strength of this hotel is its amenities, beautiful landscape and greenery and breakfast buffet.  There’s lots to do from swimming whether in the pool or on the beach, playing games such as beach volleyball and scuba or snorkelling. There’s also a gym and a spa. The breakfast spread is very satisfying and there’s a variety of local and western dishes. The concierge staff on the other hand are less informed. For example I asked about F1 screening in the hotel and was told by one staff that it’s not being screened and told by another staff that it is. I decided to take the advice of the latter and was disappointed. Turns out there’s no F1 screening at the hotel. Had I known this prior I wouldn’t have rushed back from town to watch the race and would have instead looked for a spot there.  If you’re looking for a lively place to stay, this is not the hotel for you. It’s more suitable for families. It’s very quiet even during peak season. Their live music is only on certain nights. After a day’s activity, I would advise to go in to town for dinner and entertainment. Please keep in mind that there is no Grab service at this district so one would have to rely on the hotel taxi.  Overall I didn’t find the concierge staff professional considering the rating of this hotel and the location was a little bit secluded to my liking.

Great experience, all the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location is also well located, close to Bask and Pomona (both great for breakfast / Lunch / Dibber). I would not recommend the breakfast attached to the hotel though as it is super basic (but it is cheap at approximately 8 euros). Also there weresome drainage issues with the villa we had.

It was a good resort with excellent beach. Unfortunately what let it down was  1. Room Service did not work as required. I had to personally go to restaurant to inform of my order an hour after making it. Only then was it acknowledged and processed. It kinda defeats the purpose of room service. When i informed restaurant staff (cashier), they blamed it on internet connection, but looked more of a case of a extremely long smoke break and not taking time to check the app as a refresh of the app showed the request right away. Additionally restaurant staff (cashier) said better to WhatsApp. This was not pre-informed during check-in and staff only mentioned about using the app.  2.  No first aid kit at the resort. When asked, the staff (both lobby and lounge) said no first aid kit available and the previous kit had been fully used or taken and not replenished. This for me is a big red flag as the resort location is remote and thus a first aid kit is even more essential. Both issues were highlighted to staff at check-out, but staff remain nonchalant about it.

recommend， clean and big room， water pressure was enough, hot water is stable. Walking distance to food and kota beach, very clean and nice environment, had a very good sleep there.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely loved my stay at Java Wood! This little villa was the perfect peaceful retreat during my time on Gili T. The rooms were clean, cosy, and beautifully styled with natural wooden touches — you can tell real care has gone into the place. But what truly made it special were the staff — incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make me comfortable and help with anything I needed, from local tips to arranging transport. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot, but still just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. If you’re looking for a relaxed and authentic stay with warm hospitality, Java Wood is a gem. Highly recommend!
