A truly delightful bed-and-breakfast gem. The staff were wonderfully attentive, serving with warm smiles and a clear sense of pride in what they do. Breakfast was absolutely excellent — fresh, hearty, and beautifully presented. Despite not having a car, we found the location surprisingly convenient and easy to access, making our stay smooth and stress-free. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and welcoming. A well-deserved 5-star rating for its impeccable service, cleanliness, and the genuine hospitality that made our stay memorable.

Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

We feel lucky we stayed at Ryebeck Hotel! We booked there to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthdays ! The hotel offers stunning views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding countryside. The hotel offers a restaurant serving delicious local cuisine 7 days a week breakfast, lunch and dinner. A cosy lounge area with a fireplace, and a lovely garden where they can relax and unwind. On top of everything: the staff was amazing! There is a fantastic team who very willingly offered as a family environment! Friendly, smiling staff who truly upgraded all our plans for our daughter’s birthday celebrations offering to all of us a unique experience! Thank you Tommy and your great colleagues! We will definitely visit Ryebeck Hotel!

The place was amazing and situated in a great place. Very near to a lot of amenities like bars and restaurants plus some shops. The staff were amazing and so polite. We was made to feel like we was at home. Our room was huge and had a great view of the gardens. Breakfast was outstanding and very tasty highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future

ดิฉันเพิ่งเข้าพักที่โรงแรมวู้ดแลนด์สในเลคดิสทริกต์ และรู้สึกประทับใจมากกับประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับ ประการแรก อาหารเช้าอร่อยมาก มีให้เลือกหลากหลาย รวมถึงปลาแซลมอนสด ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่น่าประทับใจ ห้องพักสะอาดเอี่ยมและสะดวกสบายมาก ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนอยู่บ้าน โรงแรมยังตั้งอยู่ในทำเลที่สะดวก มีป้ายรถประจำทางอยู่ใกล้ๆ ทำให้เดินทางไปยังสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญในเลคดิสทริกต์ได้ง่าย โดยรวมแล้ว เป็นโรงแรมที่คุ้มค่าและบริการเอาใจใส่ดีมาก ขอแนะนำอย่างยิ่ง!

Its in a lovely location and close to Ambleside and Windermere. We had requested a quiet room but was put at the top of the stairs, so we could hear everyone coming and going. It was quite noisy till very late at night. We had a bath which was great, but there was no shower gel. It was a very warm hotel, if you love that, then great. I had to leave windows open all night as it was so warm and it was a cold night. However all that being said, the room was great and had everything we needed. The food was really great, hats off to the chef 😁 The staff were all really lovely and friendly. I would very much recommend a stay here.

Hotel was clean, plenty of parking, good breakfast No information in rooms, was advised that they didn’t like clutter, so any questions we had we had to go to reception to ask. No wifi, channels on tv not tuned in, had to pay to use the spa facilities.

The location and hygiene of this hotel is okay, except that the carpets don't seem to have been cleaned for a long time. I was most dissatisfied with a male waiter, his attitude was particularly bad, I suspect he was a ******, his attitude was really bad, I have stayed in so many places in the world in hotels and B&Bs, this male waiter's attitude was the worst, I entered the staff area is my fault, but I entered from the restaurant, there is no staff only to enter the prompts, the male waiter kicked me out like a dog, I felt I was insulted.The waiter shooed me out like a dog, I felt insulted, it seems that the quality of the British people really needs to be improved.
