Our stay at 18 Homestay (Nan Yue Eighteen) was truly lovely and felt warm, thoughtful, and beautifully curated from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. They provided a map and patiently explained nearby attractions, along with personalised recommendations based on our preferences, which made exploring the area very convenient and enjoyable. The homestay itself is immaculately clean and tastefully designed. The space is bright, airy, and calming, with lots of greenery and beautifully styled communal areas. I brought my parents and aunty along, and they were genuinely impressed by how comfortable, spacious, and well-maintained the place was, it felt welcoming for all ages. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and plan our daily activities without any hassle. Breakfast was nicely presented with a light and simple selection. While enjoyable, having a little more variety would further enhance the overall experience. On our last day, we were pleasantly surprised with a small farewell gift, which was such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture. Overall, this is a stylish, clean, and welcoming homestay with genuinely warm hosts. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back again when we return for our next holiday. Highly recommended.

Enjoyable stay. It's one of the best hotel I've stayed at in China. The hotel has a nondescript entrance along the bustling West Street in Quanzhou. Located in the heart of tourist area, it's very nearby to major attractions. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated inside. The staff were really friendly and attentive. During check-in, one of them brewed a pot of nice hot Chinese tea for me while sharing about the attractions nearby and recommended some nice food, all using their in house hand drawn map. They gave me a free upgrade without asking, and the room is of a good size, and nicely setup. The TV screen projector is nice and huge and there's a good sized bathtub. Very nice touches of tea set, free tea leaves, fruits, free mini bar, and fancy toiletries. Overall a great experience.

The boutique hotel is located in a really beautiful alley known as the flower alley, with exquisite rustic buildings and floral decorations. It is conveniently located near to the main attractions like the 西街 and many famous restaurants. The hotel has pretty good amenities and it is quiet and relaxing. Our room had a big garden that we enjoyed as well. The huge projector was a plus point and great for movie nights. The breakfast is simple and perhaps can be improved, but if you’re looking for a quick and convenient bite it suffices. Otherwise, there’s plenty great options in the area as well. Overall we really enjoyed the place as it was comfortable and conveniently located, while still being quiet and ambient.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gucheng Alley Yu Hotel and felt very welcome due to the warm, helpful and patient service from 小阳 and 小王! The room was clean and really spacious, as seen in the attached photo, and peaceful at night. The mattresses and blankets are perfect, which provides a good night's rest without leaving us feeling too warm or cold. Breakfast is served at the Yalla雅拉 restaurant within the hotel compound, which serves a mix of Singapore-style (e.g. kaya toast) and Fujian food (Shacha noodles). Food is rather average though. The hotel is located near the Quanzhou Bell Tower 泉州钟楼, making it within walking distance from Zhongshan Road (中山路) and West Street (西街), and also near excellent eateries such as 德文虾仔面 in East Street. Leaving the following information to help anyone who is planning to reach the hotel by private hire car or taxi. Please note that cars are unable to enter Zhongshan Middle Road (中山中路) and West Street (西街) due to barricades. The nearest drop off points for private hire cars, which we managed to find, are at Quanzhou Hotel (泉州酒店) and the ICBC Bank branch 中国工商银行(泉州开元支行) near the clock tower. Both of these locations will be a good 400 to 500 meters away from the hotel, with Quanzhou Hotel being the less busy drop off point, so please be prepared for the workout carrying your luggage to the hotel entrance!

One of the first hotels in China to open to foreigners, this hotel definitely is old and dated in its decor. But what is lacks in terms of modern furnishings, it more than makes up for in terms of service and little extras. And its location is smack in the middle of Quanzhou old town. In fact, it is the only 4 star hotel in the old town. Which hotel send supper in the form of Chinese peanut soup or white fungus dessert to your room every night, packed in a thermos flask? How many hotels you know provides all the bathroom amenities and then some, like hair mousse? How many hotels you know of provide wet and dry slippers for your use? Bathrobes and towels, sanitized and packed in sealed plastic bags? Divine sticks to predict your future when you pray in the hundreds of temples in this city? City buggy at your door steps (this is how you travel in the old city, RMB2 per ride). Free gifts for all guests in the form of exclusive enamel steel cups. Only in Overseas Chinese Hotel. 環境簡約高雅，大堂明亮温馨，淡淡的茶香瞬間掃去旅途疲憊；房間寬敞舒適，床品質感超棒，認床的我都睡了個好覺，乾濕分離的衞生間也很貼心。 茶吧是意外驚喜，裝修典雅、氛圍靜謐，點壺茶坐着放空，愜意又治癒。餐飲也沒讓人失望，食材新鮮、烹飪用心，能吃出家的温暖感。從服務到設施都無可挑剔，下次出行一定還選這裏！

周邊環境非常棒，散步有在森林中被樹木環繞的感覺，很舒服。 窗景很美，躺床上看屋外樹木隨風搖曳很靜心。 適合發呆，放空。 早餐的麪和麪糊也很好吃，中餐廳的炒菜也好吃，推薦。 晚安花生湯和手工酸奶都很喜歡。 服務響應很及時。
