Creta Palm Resort Hotel & Apartments

A wonderful hotel in a good location! Would recommend. Everyone who worked at the hotel was lovely and very helpful: The cleaners, the receptionists, the waiters and so on. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, two pools and a 10/10 breakfast. You could find almost everything at the breakfast buffet – vegetables, fruit, eggs, bacon & sausages, bread, croissants, sweets, different yoghurts, cereal, pancakes, French toast and more. Worth every penny! I had a few massages at the hotel and the staff there was also very professional. Would recommend! The pool areas were clean and fresh. Great music at the upper pool. We rented pool towels for the week (6 € / towel), totally worth it instead of bringing towels from back home. We got to exchange the towels for fresh ones twice during our stay. I really enjoyed the area the hotel is in. There were lots of nice restaurants and bars with delicious food and nice people, for example Maria's restaurant, Kato Stalos restaurant and Opa Stalos. It's a quiet neighborhood, which I liked, and very close to the beach. We chose to rent beach chairs at Kri kri restaurant (5 €/chair), and the staff there was also wonderful. We bought snacks and drinks (water, wine, sodas etc) from the local shops next to the hotel – it was cheaper than in the Synka markets. The hotel is close to buses that go to Chania. I recommend visiting the old town and the harbor there. We ordered taxis from the hotel reception and the ride to Chania was 15 € (and the same price back). All in all: An amazing hotel with great staff in a nice neighborhood! Thanks!

We stayed at the Creta Palm between 3rd May 2024 and 10th May 2024. The room was functional and comfy, with 2 nice little private balconies. There was a seating area with an enclosed kitchen area behind two folding doors. A large bathroom with a sink, small bath and shower. The bedroom was spacious and the bed itself was ok. The resort was clean and tidy and one of the added bonuses was the stray cats that had made themselves at home there. We stayed as bed and breakfast so cannot comment on the all inclusive side of it, however the breakfast was fantastic. With choices of cereal, yoghurts, jams, honeys, cold meats, bacon, eggs, toast, breads. Basically everything you could want. Really good quality as well. We did not have any evening meals there as the restaurants in close vicinity where cheap and welcoming, we did however go to the bar each evening. Jimmis behind the bar is a loud and welcoming chap. Very, very friendly. Asking people about themselves, getting on first name terms with them, remembering their drink orders etc. He was an absolute legend there and does the hotel proud. If anything, would go again just to have a drink with him. Overall the experience was highly enjoyable, just a shame about the weather, which was like your typical english summer, but there places to go to keep you occupied, and the beach is quite literally across the road from you. Nice big room, beds comfy and staff great, a special mention for Giannis behind the bar most nights and also helping in the restaurant 😊 Now to the downsides, not sure this matches any 4 star hotel I have stayed in before. No tea/coffee in room and no kettle (these can apparently be hired at reception for an extra charge) No sliced fresh fruit for breakfast, only tinned fruit or a whole apple banana or orange. Although plenty of okish dishes presented for meal times it was on repeat with exception for the grill which changed every evening. The desserts were amazing though. Very busy road outside the hotel and this needed to crossed if you wanted to access the beach. I'm guessing I must have stayed early in the season (middle of May) as entertainment was only on 3 times for the 7 nights I stayed. This included Karaoke, a man playing a saxophone to background music and a magician which the children seemed to like, more like a kids party entertainer. All inclusive drinks menu very limited and this finished at 10pm which is the earliest I have seen. Staff work so hard and I think this is what the hotel gets its good reviews from, you can't fault them. Would I return? Probably not but others seemed to like it, just the little touches that were missing that would make this a 4 star in my eyes

We were in this hotel end of april. Room was nice with big balcony, and good beds. A lot of sunbeds in both pools. Staff was great in backpool bar and food was good with very reasonable prices. cleaners did very good job. Breakfast was good enough. We warmly recommend this.

We came to spend an ending of a long winter to Creta Palm for the second time but not the last. Atmosphere in the hotel is great, rooms are nice and tidy, food variety for breakfast and dinner (half board) was very worth of having especially now when the season was just beginning and there were not many places yet open nearby. But in the end its come to people and the warm and caring service. Thank You!

This hotel was one of the best i’ve been to. The rooms were very clean and everyday our new towels were put into the shape of boats or bows. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. There was such a good variety of food for breakfast, including cooked breakfast, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, cereal, granola, cake and biscuits. I absolutely loved the cats that wandered around the hotel. Bar staff Jimmis was very friendly and easy to speak to. I would 100% come again.

Had an amazing two week stay here. We were breakfast only and it was a great buffet with SO much variety - the pancakes and the smoothies were my favourite. There are two pool/bar areas. Our apartment was beside the upper pool area which we loved - it got the sun all day and we loved the music from the bar and overall atmosphere. Gregoris was so kind and friendly! The hotel had a lot of different nationalities of guests but I loved this aspect. I loved that hardly anybody reserved sun loungers with towels at a ridiculous time of morning (👍!). The hotel staff were the best that I have ever come across. The bar staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaners, the receptionists, they are all so friendly and welcoming. We didn’t rent a safe - we trusted our cleaner with everything and she did an amazing job going above and beyond every day. The hotel has a gym, games room, computer facilities, massage service (worth every penny!), kids playroom, luggage storage and showers. We tried the hotel evening buffet one night for 16 euros and this was amazing food with lots of variety again (salad/fish/meat/side dishes/veg). As we only included breakfast, we had some great meals in Stalos and Agia Marina. Our favourite was Kri Kri, located just a walk away from the hotel. The beach is directly opposite the road so amazing location. The loungers only cost us 7 euros for two all day! Again, as it was September there were plenty of these spare and one day we didn’t even get asked to pay. The hotel is in a good location for organised day trips as the coaches all come along this road. We did an organised day trip to Balos Beach and it was incredible! Stalos itself is a vibrant town with choices of bars and restaurants. You can walk further (20 mins) to Agia Marina which is another similar town with further bars/restaurants. You can also take a 10 euros taxi or the bus to the next town called Platanias which is even more vibrant. Chania is the city and a must visit. We visited 5 times for an evening meal and they offer day or evening boat trips from the Venetian Port (must see!). A taxi to Chania cost 15 euros and there was generally always one parked up outside the hotel. I recommend the bus. Any journey costs 1.30 each and they are frequent (I think around every 30 mins). If you want to go to Chania or that direction, turn right from the hotel and you there is a bus stop 1 min walk away. If you want to go the towns further up such as Agia Marina, Platanias or further, cross the road from the hotel and walk right and there is a bus stop outside of Tony’s Supermarket. There are also bus times online. We took the bus home from Chania most times as just got it from the central bus station. Side note - if you want to feed the cats / kittens, the small shop outside the hotel sells cat food for 90 cents per pack! The cats will absolutely love you! Sports Bar for live sport is located 5 mins walk away at Pint O Clock.

Jimmis are best bartender on earth.Food was good.Katos Stalos was nice.Room`s are clean and cleaners was very handfull and nice.We rent a ATV and driving about 650 kilometers around the South iland.Very nice iland.
