Amazing Accommodations: St Kilda

We checked in tonight after a long drive. The place looked great in the photos but it’s falling apart. There’s other peoples food crumbs & lumps on the bedroom floor. Dirty tissues and more food remains under the sofa cushions which we were flipping over because of the suspicious stains on them. I’ve put a towel on the sofa for my daughter to sit on because I don’t want her bare skin in contact with the filthy fabric & those stains Badly broken toilet seat & horrible smell - turned out that was fetid water & fecal remains in the base of the toilet brush and embedded in the brush. photo taken after I’ve washed the toilet brush in the shower using boiled water from the wobbly kettle. We couldn’t live with that smell. The dishwasher is filthy too with mould and unidentifiable ‘things’ hanging out of the broken filter. I don’t think it’s safe to use dishes & cutlery that have come out of that. Neither of the bedside lamps work. Tenants have to pay a hefty cleaning fee..

Possibly the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in. I had booked two apar**ents. A one bedroom and two bedroom. The photos do not reflect the apar**ents in anyway. The two bedroom apar**ent had the dirtiest carpet I had ever seen, so many stains. The walls and curtains were stained. There were dirty tissues and crumbs under the cushions on the sofa. Cockroaches under the toaster and kettle and in the seal of the fridge. Urine stains around the back of the toilet. The One bedroom apar**ent looked clean but smelt so badly of smoke it was difficult to sleep. Marlow the manager did get cleaners in and offered us a change for the one bed, but we declined as I didn't want to go through another apar**ent with a tooth comb. The two bedroom was for my daughter and family, it was hard for her to keep the 2yr and 5yr old children off the carpet. I have made several complaints and am now waiting to hear.

What should have been a wonderful 2-night family trip turned horrid due to the most disgraceful level of cleanliness I've ever encountered in accommodation. After a very dubious check in process which required a $200 deposit even though it had been paid in full via voucher. This meant we were rushed to our appoin**ent that evening, and would never have stayed if we'd seen it in the cold light of day. The bed linen was clean, but the good news stops there. The bathroom was filthy, cigarette butts out on the balcony, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty floors, the list goes on. We could not stay the second night (not even use the shower on the first) and while management SAID they would address it, did not, and have not. So for $400 for one night's accommodation which should have been two, no shower, and ruining what should have been a wonderful family celebration I agree with other reviews and say AVOID this disgrace.

The worst hotel I have every stayed in. Dirty, mould, no one cleaned our room for 3 weeks. Bed clothes every 2 weeks even when we asked because there was water spilled on a quilt, our friend spent the last week without a quilt. Ceiling started to fall in because of water damage, puddles of water surrounded our bathroom and kicthen could not use !! We we’re not offered another room for the last 3 nights. We could not use shower, kitchen facilities and washing machine because of water in the sockets. Reception staff the rudest people I’ve ever met laughed and smirked when we asked for a refund and deposit back! Do not waste your money on this it will be the worst hotel experience of your life not even suitable for a bed to sleep in.

This accomodation was booked for 4 male adults , all of us attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park. We asked and received 4 single beds in a 2 bedroom apar**ent. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. The apar**ent was a very good size with large lounge are and adequate size kitchen and bathroom. It was a short 5 minute walk across to gate 10 which was fabulous for us. Public trams just on our corner and a good cafe called square around the corner from us, where we ate breakfast each morning. Also a good bar and restaurant further up the road. The accommodation was quiet and we were very happy with the costs of the accommodation. However, the apar**ents are old and in good need of some love and attention. Wallpaper coming off walls, curtains coming off railings, old furniture and bathroom. We could live with all of this but a couple of suggestions. 4 little tubs of milk for 4 people for 4 days wasn’t really good enough. And 1 towels each for 4 days also wasn’t really acceptable So lots of positives for amazing accommodation in StKilda and we would consider coming back again
