Within 9 minutes’ walk of St Austell Train Station, Langdale House is a luxurious south Cornwall guest house just 6 miles from the Eden Project. Tempting breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free parking are offered alongside elegant en suite rooms. Each room has en suite bathroom facilities with shower or bath and complementary toiletries. All have a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities, and beds are dressed with sumptuous soft furnishings. An impressive breakfast menu includes a full cooked Cornish breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, as well as a vegetarian version. There is a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and fish dishes including kippers and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. A hot American-style breakfast with fried ham, pancakes, hash browns and omelettes is also served, with a continental selection available on request. Langdale House is 12 minutes’ drive from the beautiful fishing village of Mevagissey, and just over 20 minutes from Truro Cathedral. Newquay, Liskeard and Padstow can all be reached in 30-40 minutes. We booked this guest house has a party of four two rooms on the basis of previous great reviews, however when we arrived there was nobody to greet us or even show us where everything was just a note with the keys left to our rooms. When we arrived down for breakfast the next morning which we paid for the cook told us sorry she was not informed of the breakfast orders so there was no breakfast for us and still no sign of any host, we tried to call him but no answer, would definitely not recommend or stay there ever again, I think faulty towers would be better at least they serve their guests breakfast. Very Very poor complained to booking. com
