Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Reno - Sparks

The hotel has just been opened for a month, thus everything is new and clean. The front desk employees are friendly and provide good services. The hotel is closed to a small lake park. The room does not have its own hair dryer, thus I needed to get it from the front desk. I was surprised that the room had iron, but no hair dryers. The room rate already included the simple breakfast. It provided broiled eggs, oatmeal, energy bars, hot chocolate, tea and coffee.

It was amazing, that staff was always so friendly and helpful! Room was great. A couple things, if you guys could get the front desk some alcohol wipes to wipe down the blow driers that would be good. I saw her using multi surface cleaner (which is not good for human skin/hair) to clean the grease off the handle and when I asked for any alcohol wipes she said they didn’t have any up there at the front counter. Also the charging stations for the cars don’t work. This was a real bummer because I tried several times and later on heard that others were having the same issues. I know they had just been installed like days later but maybe a sign could be put up that they needed maintenance. Last thing, I would not advertise breakfast as part of the listing because of how it really was. Maybe if could say “grab and go” morning snacks, because that’s really more close to what was offered. Some people pick hotels based on being able to save money on the provided breakfast but seeing what breakfast really was was kind of a disappointment. Absolutely everything else about the room was amazing! The beds and pillows were perfect.

Clean, easy in and out. Liked the floors better than carpet! Room is spacious. Nothing fancy. Basics available by request. Would stay again.

The poor woman checking in people was alone and the line was constantly 5 - 10 people deep the entire evening. Then later we saw her running around dropping off items to different rooms as things were being requested. At the same time the line for check up would then get backed up again because they had to wait for her to come back to reception to start checking people in again. It was ridiculous. We watched it go on for more than an hour as we were doing laundry to get our snow clothes ready for the next day. I wasn’t even the employee and I was getting anxiety watching her, can’t imagine how she must have felt! The room was decent, very basic, no amenities and to top it all off the toilet paper was 1 ply! Everything about this facility was cheap and bargain basement. Didn’t even bother with their “breakfast included” as it was nothing more than grab and go muffins and yogurt. You get what you pay for and although it provided a clean roof over our heads for the night, that is literally it. Uncomfortable beds and the rooms are hot. I won’t even get started on the dogs barking all around us in adjacent rooms. Not somewhere I would stay again…gross!

They mentioned that breakfast is included. But they just had some snacks in the morning!! They didn’t have even bread! It’s such a scam!!! No cleaning service for the room.

The property itself was nice basic very clean. I didn’t like that the rooms were not equipped with dishes and stuff you had to ask for it and bring it up yourself, which was odd. The staff was very friendly and accommodating otherwise. The surrounding area did not feel safe but like half a mile away you have a wonderful shopping center and food looks like a new area or development.

Tv was malfunctioning as was the hvac system. Hvac fixed, tv not. Volume on streaming services severely throttled back.

We were very happy with our stay at the Extended Stay Hotel in Sparks. It met or exceeded our expectations. We were there in a holiday weekend and they were full, but you’d never know it because it was really quiet. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, apartment size fridge, stovetop, and a nice view of the snowy mountains, to name a few reasons. We wouldn’t hesitate booking there again.

Employee at front desk was friendly and helpful. A king room had been reserved but was told there was none available because of a large number of checkouts and cleaning staff was unable to prepare all the rooms and now they had left for the day. A double queen was offered but after stating we purposely reserved a king, we were offered a handicapped room with a king, so that is what we took. Room was clean and spacious, but the tv remote was nowhere to be found. Tried to call the front desk to get a remote, but the phone didn’t work. I went to front desk to request a remote, which was provided, but needs to be returned at checkout. TV service cuts in and out. The heater has been on for an hour now and the temp has risen from 63 to 67 with the thermostat set for 74. Not sure if it will reach the setting. This is our second time to stay here and the last time it was very cold in the room and wouldn’t heat well either.
