No improvement since last visit. Smoke smell still fills the Lobby from the open-flame cooking of Toro-Toro Restaurant. Great restaurant -- poor location choice. Hotel rooms are long-past due for gut renovations, as the rooms we have had on 2 visits confirm, which will cause us to stay elsewhere in the future. How old, stained, worn & chipped must furniture &/or bathroom fixtures become ”before” being replaced? All the staff were polite, courteous & helpful so no personnel complaints & housekeeping was basically OK. Attached parking garage is convenient since everything you want to do Downtown is within easy walking distance.
We bought a Groupon with some friends on at the spur of the moment and decided to forgo our weekend usual of being at the lake and instead drove 12 miles to this lovely hotel. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure our overnight stay was top notch. The pool is bigger than most hotel pools and very, very quiet. We packed a cooler and made a day of it at the pool. Eric, the shuttle driver dropped us at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant for dinner and then picked us up when we called him. He helped with the mini refrigerators we needed and even provided extra pillows. We had a great time at the hotel. So much fun that we did it two weekends in a row!!
We loved the Fort Worth Omni!!! It’s a beautiful hotel and there was not a stone not turned in the design of this hotel. Every single thing was well thought out. Clean hotel and friendly staff! We will definitely stay again when we visit again!
Horrible! Don’t go here! Cockroaches in the room, indifferent front desk attendants that can do nothing but shake their heads and say “yes sir yes” instead of actually acknowledging my desire to have the room effectively sprayed for cockroaches!!!! I even collected one night’s worth of roaches and showed it to the front desk attendant. I was ignored. The location is not a safe area, it is dirty, the owner of the neighboring hotel came over one morning demanding the Comfort Inn employees clean up the garbage that was blowing around to his hotel from the Comfort’s grounds, and all he got was the head shake from the East Indian front desk attendant while he acted as if he didn’t understand a word the other manager was saying. The owner and employees of this Comfort Inn hotel run a shoddy, bug infested hotel and they apparently do not understand a word of English (or just choose to act like they don’t speak a word of it). There is no attempt at customer service at all. I don’t care if someone doesn’t speak English as their first language - it’s not mine, either! I do care if the person dealing with the paying public acts indifferent and has no idea what you are saying to him. How do you have people working for you that can’t even communicate with the guests??? One good thing - lots of hot water. At least the shower I shared with cockroaches did have plenty of hot water.
PPioneer17948243883I have been coming to this hotel multiple times over the last 6 weeks to visit a relative who is hospitalized. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, there's a nice complimentary breakfast every morning, the location is ideally located near some great restaurants, the Montgomery Street Antique Mall, and easy access to Harris Hospital. What _really_ makes this place great is the staff though. From Front Desk to Housekeeping to Maintenance to ”The Breakfast Ladies,” everyone seems to find genuine joy in helping their guests. Those smiles and welcomes and helpful attitudes make me feel like I'm one of the family. You can tell a lot about a place by the way the staff interacts with each other when they think nobody is looking...these are good folks who love each other and love serving their guests. My first experience kept me coming back, and now there is no place I'd rather stay.
JJennifertsWe arrived early and were very grateful that we were able to get a room a couple hours before checkin time. While I was checking in, there was an extremely unprofessional lady (I think she may have been the manager) on the phone speaking extremely loudly and ghetto (it’s the best way to describe her conversation). She was on the phone speaking about getting keys from another location because this location was had low quantity. She went on to say something about the payment and a check needing to clear. I attempted to block out the conversation while I was being checked in but she was sooooo loud. The young lady checked us in and I was actually surprised that we did not receive any type of welcome gift similar to what we receive for elite status. Not even water. We were in a corner room with an amazing view. The room was spacious; however, the bathroom was very tight. The toilet is literally in front of the door which made it tight getting in and out of the bathroom. The room was overall clean, except the floor doesn’t seem to be mopped often. I accidentally dropped some food and got a wet paper towel to wipe it up and it was filthy. The location is perfect with access to lots of high end restaurants. However, gluten free options are limited. I stayed at a different hotel about a block or so away earlier during the summer and it was an absolute struggle trying to find good gluten free options in this area. I doubt that we will return to this location, although I really wanted to like it.
JJalaunii OBoth nights i was there someone “mistook” my room or atleast thats what the front desk said when I called down saying someone keeps trying to open my door. I had ants in the bed DISGUSTING BUT THE BIG NO REFUND SIGN AT FRONT & the fact I booked it through work I didnt even bother complaining. The after hour lock on the back door never actually activated so anyone could walk in the building. Middle of summer & the pool was closed. Immediate area is a little industrial/sketchy but i didnt have any actual issues outside. I gave 2points because parking was ample & great also they pre cooled my room which was great for the 104 texas weather. I will not stay here again but for the price it did its job since i wasnt there except for maybe 8hrs in total.
ผผู้เข้าพักI traveled a lot back in my work days and now retired. I had stayed at this hotel in the past. I saw there were negative reviews, but I tend to go on my past experiences at a property.!I am normally really easy going and not all that picky. Well, I can say this stay here was one of my worse experiences after traveling for 35 years. When I checked the in the lady at desk was very friendly. I went to room and first noticed it smelled like smoke. Then I heard running water.! The bathtub faucet was running. I tried to stop it no good. I noticed some spots around tub and I thought maybe were cigarette burns but realized you could scape it off so there were several spots that weren’t clean in shower. Than I noticed a ring around stove top and out my finger on it and it was grease (discussing). Well here is my mistake. Instead of asking for a new room or just leaving all together I said I can handle this for a couple nights. Shower in morning had no pressure and luke warm at best. I got back to room next night and my keys wouldn’t work. Go to front desk and no one there. Finally a lady showed up after about 10 minutes. She informed me I was a no show the day before so that’s why my Leo’s wouldn’t work. Said then how did I get keys and my stuff in my room if I was a no show. I showed her I had ore paid for the two nights. Well having keys, my stuff already in the room, and an ID wasn’t enough. She said she wasn’t going to let me in the room. I said how about I call the police or I would kick the door in to get my valuables. I asked to talk to the manager and she said she was the manager. Well I had enough even though I am an easy going person. I started calling the police and then she called her regional manager and they decided it was ok to rekey me back in room. No apology or anything. It was like I was trying to pull one on them. I did apologize to her since I got upset and later I thought wait what am I apologizing for. Well next morning I went to move my truck closer and of course my keys wouldn’t work so kicked out again. Had to wait another 10 minutes to find some one. The young lady was nice. She rekeyed my cards again and it didn’t work. Went back and she rekeyed them again and went to room with me and I got in. All I can say most if the staff is nice here minus that night manager who wouldn’t believe me that I had checked in day before. Stay away from this hotel. It’s dirty snd needs major upgrades.
