Southsea Rocks Hotel

This place isint a hotel it’s more like a hostel, staff are rude and don’t care about you as a customer all there interested in is taking your money and then ignoring your calls and emails, I don’t know how this is still open it needs reporting to trading standards, no staff onsite reception unmanned most times during the day and no1 is there at night, if you need a staff member there’s a number on the door you have to call and even then your waiting 20 mins them to get here.

The rooms are immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was amazing, they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Would highly recommend this hotel. Great location, close to sea front

Amazing hotel amazing staff couldn’t ask for more. Was clean great size and all the staff were fantastic. They made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived and was all very helpfully. Was a great get away for me and my girlfriend

Cosy, comfy, clean and quiet. Homely and friendly atmosphere, loved it. Also well situated for beach, shops, Southsea nightlife and a good bus service to nearby attractions and all of Portsmouth. Parking 👍

The Hotel was booked as a stop over on our way to Poole to catch a ferry for a family holiday. The room was booked well in advanced and has now been cancelled, with 3 days notice, due to the room being "broken". We now have to get up at 3 in the morning to do the trip to Poole in a single journey with 3 kids. Thanks, greatly appreciated!!

Southsea Rocks cancelled our booking with just 2 weeks notice and despite receiving a confirmation of itinerary email the next day from the booking site. No explanation when the hotel contacted other than "we are closed', no attempt to find us alternative accommodation, no compensation for the increased cost of having to book last minute at alternative accommodation. Poor customer service and zero consideration for the circumstances created by their cancellation.

Cancelled booking last minute without reason. No have no accommodation. Called to see if it was a mistake and the guy on the phone couldn’t care less. He just went silent and hung up the phone. Avoid.

The location for this "hotel" is excellent. Road can be noisy at times but you are very close to everything. The beach and the shops. You have to call a mobile number to actually get to check in. I had to wait around for a bit for this. There is no one in the reception most of the time, you always have to call a number. The room was ok, small but was fine for one person. Small TV. I had a room with my own bathroom, which was very small but ok. The bath was tiny. No way of making any drinks in the room. So went to use the kitchenette. There is a fridge/freezer, microwave and a kettle. Some tea and coffee but no milk. No cups, cutlery, plates or anything. So it's not much use for someone who doesn't bring all their kitchen with them on holiday. There was a family with multiple children placed in the "hotel" by the council, and there was a lot of shouting, swearing, screaming, crying, banging, running etc. I spent most of my time out of the place. The staff that I saw, once, was nice so didn't have any issues there.

Awful place , bed uncomfortable ,children running riot in the room upstairs then using the corridors as a race track, horrible nights sleep .No where in rooms to make a drink , We should have stayed two nights but only lasted one , could not wait to leave
