We selected Dar Camelia for the charm and was so pleased with our stay! The hotel and room 1 is just as beautiful as shown in pictures and described. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The AC worked well and we did not experience any interruptions in electricity. Everyone working there was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety and served in a beautiful courtyard. Note, that it's located in the old area of Sour/Tyre with narrow streets. A car can pick up/drop off at the end of the street. I believe all of the guest rooms are up one flight of stairs.

Comfortable and spacious apartment room located close to shops and restaurants in Hamra. Friendly, helpful staff and rooms were serviced daily. The kitchenette was equipped with all the appliances but the only downside was that you have to provide your own tea/coffee.

My friend and I had a lovely one night stay at Dar Camelia. We missed our way initially and found ourselves at Dar Alma. Jack came to get us and took us to the hotel and showed us where to park our car (It was very nice of him). We stayed in Room 3. It was spacious, had a balcony from where we could see the sea. The bathroom had bathrobes, towels and slippers. We got a voucher from the hotel for 2 free glasses of wine and 10% discount on food drom Dar Alicia (a restaurant in the same building); the food was delicious. Breakfast was at the courtyard in the hotel and it was delicious. The hotel is close to the sea side and it has several shops and restaurants within walking distance. We did a walk from the hotel to the sea side. By the hotel is a lovely antique shop owned by Josef (very nice guy). We got some souvenirs from him at good prices. If you plan to visit Tyre book a stay here.

The staff was very helpful but the property is under staffed. The rooms are well designed but there is no notion of functionality in rooms. Electricity shortage at night. The towels and bath robes were disgusting. Over-priced for what it offers.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Cosy, intimate and has all what you might need. Had a extremely lovely stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

I loved this place. Everything about it is amazing: the location, the property, rooms, amenities, yummy and generous breakfast, and most importantly the friendliness and welcoming hospitality of the staff. I want to send a shout-out and a big thanks to Selim, the reception and check-in staff who was very helpful, and accommodating, and answered all of my questions regarding the stay, and what kind of sight-seeing to do in the area.
