Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba

The breakfast/lunch is delicious and very affordable compared to hotel restaurants. Very good service from staff and heritage place has the best pool in all Mayakoba. Very private and great for families. If you have a small family Fairmont Heritage Place is THE spot.

We had an excellent experience with our butler Alejandro. He was extremely accommodating and helpful and made our stay so pleasant! We had an amazing time by the beautiful beach and enjoyed the variety of restaurants the resort had to offer.

The resort and pools are beautiful and we always had room at the pools, the room was very nice as well. The downfall is the food quality, luckily we did not choose the all inclusive package so we were able to eat off site. The adjoining resort the Banyan Tree has much better quality food, we ate at the Thai and Italian restaurants at the Banyan Tree and they were excellent. It’s a quick walk or golf cart ride to the restaurants at the neighboring resort.

The biggest issue we had was the construction that took place right beside the house we were in. Not just the noise, but the dust. We could not enjoy the backyard at all. We were told the construction would be from 9am-5pm. However everyday it started before 9am and finished after 5pm. We completely understand construction, but what we did not understand is the response we received from concierge, stating that is "part of development growth"!! Not a Fairmont standard response at all! The worst experience we have ever had at any Fairmont residence or hotel. There was no interest to rectify or even make an effort to appease the situation.

I stayed at Heritage Place with my three children for only one night, but wish it had been longer. We had been staying at the Fairmont Mayakoba, and then switched to Heritage Place for the last night of our stay. The villa was absolutely gorgeous! We had a three bedroom penthouse unit and it was beautiful and very clean. The service at Heritage Place was also excellent. Our butler, Edgar, was extremely helpful and always available via text when we needed him. I would highly recommend Heritage Place for a family vacation, especially for larger families. It is worth noting that the property is a good distance from the beach. It would probably take about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the beach and beach pool, however, the trails that lead you there are lovely. The hotel does have golf carts that will take you to the beach though if you don’t want to walk and you can often pick up a bike along the way. I did miss being closer to the beach, but getting more space and the quality of the space was worth it. I think the main improvement I would make would be to breakfast. The breakfast offered at Heritage Place is very simple/minimal. I think it would be great if they could offer a more extensive breakfast at Heritage Place as well. I did room service with my kids because we had an early flight, but I prefer getting everyone out for breakfast and it would’ve been nice to have been able to do that within a short walk. Also, the main heritage place pool that is near the lobby does not have drink service so it is a “quiet“ pool. It is nice that the pool is quiet but I think some amount of drink service would be a great addition because it would make the property feel a bit more alive. Overall, I highly recommend Heritage Place for a family vacation (just be prepared for a hike or golf cart ride to the beach).

The whole experience was incredible and just perfect for our family. The grounds were beautiful , the service was over the top, the food was 5 stars and the accommodations were very spacious. All of this was made possible because our concierge Monica took care of us like we were family. She had an our fridge stocked up with groceries upon our arrival and even found organic whole milk for our baby. We are so grateful, thank you!!!!! We will certainly be coming back. Until next time. We loved the hotel, during our stay the hotel staff was always very attentive. The rooms are very nice, clean and tidy. Although we only stayed two nights, they were two very nice nights and we enjoyed them very much. Thank you all for making our vacation in Mexico very nice.

Everything from the residence to the service was excellent and completely five star. Thanksgiving in Mayakoba was a huge success! The Fairmont Heritage Place was perfect for our multi-family group. We had 4 kids under the age of 8 and it was convenient for us to all stay at one place. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were a huge bonus. However, the best part was our butler Alejandro. He made our lives so easy from having baby gear and groceries ready for us upon our arrival to reserving beach chairs and dinner reservations for us daily. He was available to us at all times, even before we arrived for questions. There were many other amazing staff members - everyone is truly so friendly! Carlos at Bassano and Hugo, Marlon, Federico at the beach and so many more. A very special shout out to Rocky, the Food and Beverage Manager. He took the time to talk to us on several occasions and helped make our trip a delight! He is so knowledgeable about the restaurant concepts and food sourcing. He takes pride in his work and it shows. All of our meals were excellent. We especially enjoyed our memorable last night at Fuego. Kids can play on the beach and enjoy making s’mores after dinner at this beachside restaurant. Thank you again to all the staff for making our trip so amazing!
