This is a smaller resort with only three restaurants and 2 main pools but it was so quiet and serene compared to some of the larger resorts we have stayed at. We stayed in a cenote suite and it was so spacious and beautiful. The bathroom was huge with 2 showers and a patio off it. It was about a half mile walk to the beach which we either walked to or rode a bike if they were available. There were always golf carts on the way offering rides but the walk is quite lovely through the jungle. We saw monkeys, coatis and beautiful birds on our walks. The beach is one of the nicest we have been to. White sand, clear water and they do a really good job cleaning up the sea**** every day. The food was amazing, probably the best we've had at an all inclusive. The drinks were always delicious and they are not stingy on the alcohol. The service everywhere was very good. Everyone that works there was top notch. The only complaints we had were the showers weren't always hot. The resort is starting to show its age so could use some maintenance/upgrades. Also, the beach could use a few more chairs. All in all I highly recommend and we would definitely return.

We stayed for 5 days at the Blue diamond!!!! Staff was EXCELLENT!!!! Food was INCREDIBLE, and the environment was PERFECT to relax.

Our room was great. There were only 3 restaurants but the food was amazing. Nothing to do in the evenings though unless you plan your own excursions. We didn’t mind because we just wanted to chill out and relax. There is a spa and a cenote too. Overall we couldn’t find anything to complain out. Wonderful stay!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time at the Blue Diamond. It was a nice, relaxing getaway vacation. As others have said, this is a good place if you want to disconnect from a busy life and have some peace and quiet; not a party resort. I just wouldn't call it a 5 star hotel. The bed was quite hard and there were a few things damaged (like a patio chair). The spa was a bit disappointing too, as the sauna was barely hot, the hammam wasn't working, and the pool was cold. Positives were really excellent food and very kind workers/good service. It was also fun to wake up and see monkeys in the trees just outside our suite and other wildlife around the resort. So overall, a very nice place to vacation, but expect more of a 3-star hotel quality rooms/amenities.

Our stay overall was excellent. It was exactly what we were looking for, a smaller, quiet, all inclusive hotel. The food quality was excellent, the staff and service were also exceptional. The location in the jungle and around the cenote/lagoon was unique and cool! The only comment we have for improvement is the property does need a minor reno. The design and architecture are still very much on point, but there has been some wear and tear that needs attention.
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quieter, more secluded vacay, and would stay here again!

We stayed at the Blue Diamond for just under a week in February. I was a bit apprehensive from some of the reviews and considering how much we were spending, but the resort exceeded our expectations. Of course some areas of the hotel seems a bit worn, but it's a resort next to the ocean, so what did you expect? The staff and the service made up for everything... everyone was extremely helpful and beyond amazing and we would definitley stay here again.
