Good location

This is a nice property situated in the best part of Sofia for visitors, close to heaps of eating, drinking and shopping opportunities. Our room was spacious with all that you require. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom roomy with plenty of shelf space . Breakfast was fine and we enjoyed staying here. Reception staff spoke English and were mostly helpful. The exception was a male person, not Julian, who was useless and spent his time as far away from the counter as possible with his pretty head down playing with his phone. In the matter of replacing our fridge he was rude and showed zero initiative. Hopefully he will find somewhere else to "work".

The room we stayed in was ok, we had view of the back of the hotel on 5th floor. Beds are good and so was the bathroom. TV had Netflix which was nice. The breakfast though was dissapointing and the reception personel was rude and not service minded at all. Also, we stayed in our room while the cleaning lady came by. She dropped the coffee machine on the floor and sprayed coffee all over my partners clothes, with nothing but a "I'm sorry".

A very central placed hotel, close to the inner city. The hotel facilities are fine, and in a modern style. The rooms are also fine, with the nessesary things as a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. Breakfast are ok, but not big. We afsked for bacon and eggs when we ordered the stay, and they promished bacon and boiled eggs. It was there, but the bacon was not crispy and the eggs overboiled. The hotel is fine for a short stay. A big negative thing is, that the staff dont care about the guests. They are more interested in looking smart themselves, than to giver a proper service. It is seldom that we get such a bad service. The service are only 2 stars, but the hotel is 3-4 stars.

We stayed for one night. We had informed via email that we would be arriving from Italy around 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. When we arrived at 1:00 PM, the room was not yet ready, and it was handed over to us at 2:30 PM. The reception service is terrible. In the evening, even at 10:30 PM, the bar was already closed. The cleaning lady opened our room at 7:30 in the morning. Although the suite terrace is a well-furnished and very spacious room, the Velux blinds cannot be closed, so you wake up with the first light of the sun. The breakfast is poor and served in the hall. Great location. For a 4-star hotel, they absolutely need to improve the service!!

Booked here for a work trip and when I showed up at the hotel I was told I had been moved to the other Rosslyn (Central Park Hotel) and the guy at the front desk couldn't give me a reason why (and he didn't really want to talk to me in English either but luckily the people I was here to see in Sofia were with me so they could talk to him in Bulgarian). So they didn't tell me I had been moved (despite sending me a system-generated email two days earlier asking what time I was arriving) and then charged me the regular rate at the Central Park Hotel which was more than the Rosslyn Thracia. Pretty unprofessional service and I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who's traveling from out of country and doesn't speak Bulgarian.

The main attraction of this hotel is its very central location. Additionally, reception staff are very helpful, rooms quiet and comfortable and the shower is very good. Beds are good but the bathrooms could do with an update. Others have rightly commented on breakfast. The room is far too small for the number of guests leading to a crushed, uncomfortable environment and a chaotic feel. Coffee is ok and the food presented is just about adequate though clearly nothing special.

This hotel is a great choice for a weekend break in Sofia. It's well located (15 to 20 minute walk from the metro and 5 minutes away from Vitosha Blvd.) Room was very spacious, modern and clean. Despite being busy, didn't hear any noise from any of the other guests. Hassle free check in and check out.

The hotel has the perfect central location in Sofia , it is small but very comfortable, the rooms are spacious , the beds are really comfy , very nice bathroom , the staff is really kind and helpful , we had a great stay.

NOT 4 STAR. I’ve been to a lot of hotels in Europe. This has to be the worst four star I’ve ever stayed. I’ll star positives and why this isn’t a 1 star review. Two members of staff were amazing and really understood what it meant to welcome guests. I can’t remember their names but I’m sure they and their managers know who they are. The LOCATION was great. In the middle of everything. Also the rooms are reasonable and clean from my experience. The rest of the staff were just out right rude. Friends of mine being shouted at for daring to try and get some water from the machine. Yes ok, can’t use it after breakfast he didn’t know but no need to shout at a guest. In addition, a four star hotel in my experience always offers complimentary WATER. Even if you just have one bottle in your room, such a small thing that can make a world of difference. Most of the staff you couldn’t tell if they were working or peeping to go on a night out. This isn’t a hostel it’s meant to be a 4 star hotel. Cleaners will just walking into your room without knocking. Happened on several occasions. They will leave boxes and supplies in the corridor for weeks. The worst is the breakfast. One experience and I couldn’t go back for the rest of my stay. Stale bread and pastries that were brought from Lidl many days before hand. (I checked) and the limited “hot” food was just revolting and inedible. Just go out for food if you are planning on staying more than one night. This place could be nice. There is another one of the same chain by the National Palace of Culture. A lot better and more deserving of 4 star so it’s not unattainable and the excuse of this reflects the price just doesn’t hold.

Overall not bad but we encountered some of the grumpiest staff ever at this hotel! Even when saying good morning to housekeeping you got a grumpy look in return. They do not provide complimentary water in the rooms which for an alleged 4 star is not very good. When I asked to use the water machine downstairs to fill my bottle (which they use for breakfast) I got told to go and buy my own water. Charming. Stains on the carpet, rips/holes in the linen, a shower that doesn’t drain very well and thus over flows. 3 stars at best unfortunately.

First of all a shout out to Mariella and Julian, the two front desk representatives that helped me have a very pleasant stay here when everything didn't go exactly as planned. The hotel is very close to the old town and all the historical buildings that you would want to visit. It is a relatively small hotel but there is enough room for them to have an adequate breakfast bar and oftentimes people would be doing business on their laptops in the reception area. The room that I was in was quite spacious, had a good size bathroom but a tiny shower. It made up for being small by having copious amounts of hot water for a relatively long hot shower after a cold day of wandering. There was plenty of storage room for clothing and a good-sized safe. The bed was comfortable like in most European countries the king-size bed consisted of two twins being shoved together. Another anomaly was that the day before I arrived the weather had been warmer and they have essential heating/air conditioning system which they had shifted from heating to air conditioning. Due to that I was unable to get the heater to work but they did supply me with a space heater which worked relatively well. I also had difficulty hooking up to Netflix the first night and Mariela got that taken care of the next day. For those relatively minor difficulties they made up for it by making my breakfast complementary, a nice touch which speaks to their commitment to their customers happy a pleasant stay here in Sofia. One last call future is a little yellow mechanism that you can go to and press the button and it will call a taxi for you which will show up at the door within about five to seven minutes! That was a new one for me. On and all it was a very pleasurable experience and I would recommend the hotel.

Let me start by saying I have traveled to over 60 countries and stayed in many hotels. I do not give out a low rating unless deserved. My husband and I had an early flight to Sofia, arriving around 9:30AM. We are very much aware that it is not always possible to check in that early but thought we would just ask, doesn’t hurt to ask. We walked in and give our name saying we were checking in and before we could even say that we knew we were early, the girl behind the desk says in a not so friendly tone that we are too early. She said you are way too early you cannot check in this early, check in is at 3PM. We say ok that’s fine, so we leave our bags and go out. We come back to hotel around 1PM and check in, no info such as helpful tips and maybe a map or where to go, nothing. Our room was nice. Our bathtub didn’t hold water and the shower head barely trickled water out. We did tell the front desk, they fixed the shower head but not the tub. On our last day we decided to ask the same young rude girl if she could help us arrange a taxi to the airport and she told us “ that’s a very long process and I cannot do that with only a days notice.” She suggests we try to find a taxi ourselves at 7AM without any clue as to where we might do this. The day we checked out there was a man behind the desk and we thought maybe he could help us arrange a taxi, he says sure, no problem, all I have to do is press a button and the taxi will be here within 5 minutes. So luckily this nice man literally pressed a button, I saw him do it and the taxi arrived shortly after. So not sure as to what long process was involved in that. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Go somewhere where the staff are friendly and helpful and don’t make you feel like a bother.

The staff was very efficient and very friendly. I arrived two hours before the stated check-in time, just hoping that they could store my luggage. The receptionist instead said that my room was ready and checked me in. Those small kindnesses, to a weary traveller, are greatly appreciated. Kudos to the staff. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Serdika metro station and 1/2 block from Vitosha Boulevard. The breakfast offered was ample, and the rooms were well appointed. The Rosslyn Thracia Hôtel will be my base whenever I go to Sofia.
