OYO the Sun Hotel

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen. The room was filthy and the bathroom was the worst. Grime everywhere but particularly the plug hole, the bottom of the shower and the toilet. To top it off, sockets were held together with masses of black tape. Avoid avoid avoid!

They phoned me at half 7 to ask what time I would be checking in and half hour later they cancelled my room which left me with no where to stay has I had already paid for the room

It was no where near like the pictures on the web site it was filthy, the carpets were all worn or torn my husband had to open the roof window to use the toilet. Im glad we only stayed there one night it was horrendous. Even talking to other guests that left at the same time as us said how horrendous it was Definitely first and most definitely the last time I wilk ever enter this hotel again.

This hotel was not worth £90 for 1 night. Arrived no furniture in any room downstairs. No reception just a girl with a laptop. Room was shocking ..single room with a double bed crammed in...1 pillow each...I cup between 2 people. So we took it in turns to have a tea...oh no wait we didn't because plugged the kettle in and it fused everything in the room...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

The bed sheet had a blood stain on it for starters let alone being near a washing machine. The staff were few and far between. Other than that it was a pleasant break.

We were expecting the worst after reading the reviews but it’s a lovely hotel. It’s basic but you get what you pay for. It’s clean and tidy. Little things could be improved but nothing major in our room. We would definitely stay again xx

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days! Mattresses are all spring! Not comfortable at the slightest. As we informed reception, they said they were nothing they can do, as guests, we suggested additional duvets. They stated they only had one duvet (there were two of us). The room itself was dirty, there was hair in the shower ( from the previous guest im guessing). Cobwebs on the window ledge. As two guests, we were supposed to split 1 bodywash sachet, 1 shampoo sachet and one small bottle (small). Lucky we brought our own toiletries and accessories. We were also provided with 1 towel each for 2 days. No air conditioning and no tables or chairs. There were no overnight staff, if anything happened, there will be no1 to report too. Best thing about it was where it was located! Right opposite the part and a 5 minute walk from the beach. Honesly avoid this hotel!

The room was basic not even a wardrobe, very large windows looking into the street with no covering except main draw curtains. No maid service for the 5 days we were there, we had to ask for tea, coffee, sugar etc, no towel or bed changes. No facilities for food although the pictures show a dining room & there email response says you can book at the hotel.

Checked in here for 4 nights, ended up cutting our break away short. Upon arrival the lady on reception had very little knowledge of the area such as parking, buses to fantasy island etc. She also seemed shocked to hear we were staying for 4 nights, we now know why. The room looked ok when we first checked in however after been there 5 mins it was pretty clear that this place didn’t have any standards. The window sill had coffee stains all over it, the cups didn’t look like they had been washed. The bed was so uncomfortable and the headboard was hanging off. The toilet and shower cubicle was filthy. The carpet was covered in paint splashes and looked like it hadn’t been hoovered for months. Myself and my partner have both come home suffering with bad backs due to the bed. The springs where coming through and the pillows where like cheese slices. We received no room service and had to ask for clean towels, toilet roll etc. Very poorly run hotel, seemed more like a crack house from a film. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
