Mercure London Heathrow Hotel

Completely misleading. You arrive everything looks tip top get to the stairs or lift and the difference is shocking. This is no way near 4 star hotel standard Also the presence of hundreds of “men” is very intimidating the hotel should of informed that it was a refugee hotel and given me the option to cancel. Room was decent very dated bathroom with stained surfaces will be making a compliant to.

I will not be booking with Mecure again. It is very disappointing that they don't take account system errors.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, even back in the day when it was called Comfort Hotel Heathrow, so I am fairly familiar with it :) On the plus side: great staff, many thanks for all your help - much appreciated! I was (as usual) in a super small single room. It is very cosy and nice, but due to its size, I could hardly imagine staying there for several nights in a row, if I had to. There's a small desk (appreciated!), but it'd be good to have a table lamp for it! Could be a very small investment making quite a difference though ;) Also, don't expect to find the famous Mercure pencils there anymore, neither the notepads - more and more hotels have been progressing on the "no frills" path over the last few years. On the minus side: it is in a (not very nice) residential area; there's just one pub in the vicinity (serving nice Indian food btw, check it out), and a couple of corner shops. No public transport nearby - there are some buses, but quite a walk from the hotel. Sadly, it is not served anymore by the Hotel Hoppa, either, so the most reasonable way to get to the airport is a cab (roughly £15). That's a shame; I think the hotel management should raise this with National Express or whoever operates the Hoppa now. Overall: I've had a very nice stay, excellent price/quality ratio (as always with this hotel, actually), and a good full breakfast was included.

Fantastic service from the front hall staff… that’s probably the only good thing. Had to take a taxi from the airport, no shuttle service even though it said they had it. The room itself was small, about 80% bed.The bath’s drain was broken so it meant showering knew deep in used water. The bathroom door looked like it was about to fall out from damp damage. Couldn’t contact front desk as the phone in the room didn’t work. The bed was uncomfortable (like minimal padding over a hard surface). Carpets had questionable stains. No spoons in the tea tray. …but front hall staff were friendly.

Staff friendly, and helpful, but not always doing what they promise. Still waiting for the maintenance guy!

Great equipment, excellent cleanliness. The kitchen was great. And the bed is one of the best I've slept in in a hotel. A bit difficult to reach on foot.

It's a nice 3 star hotel with train station just 20 mins walk from here if you wanna stay at somewhere that doesn't cost 200 for a night and still wanna go to centre to explore.

Overall is good, just have maintenance issues only. For instance the radiator can’t switch off, air conditioning’s socket cover missing just use adhesive tape cover etc

It was okay for what we paid. I ended up driving down to London to meet my partner and the car park was something wild like £16 a day and the car park was very tight, lots of pot holes, not gated so when you’re paying so much and it’s not protected it begs the question - why is it so expensive? I understand it’s London but I think this could’ve been better. The breakfast buffet was nice, the room was clean and we were upstairs so I think it was a little bigger than the other rooms. I think it’s a great stop over hotel, but we were travelling into London city centre each day which wasn’t super practical. We should’ve just booked closer into London. But overall, it was okay 🙂
