Okay 1 Villa

Our stay here was amazing, nice hotel and nice staff. The pool area was beautiful and super clean. Totally recommend it!

Okay in name, okay in stay. I arrived very early in the morning and for a small fee I could check in early which I really appreciated. However, the night attendant only spoke some English which made things a little difficult. After seeing me to one room which wasn’t ready, I made my way to a second that I don’t think was actually intended for me as it was a bigger room. No complaints other than the confusion with which room was supposed to be mine. I asked about breakfast but they weren’t serving at this time. There was also no one on hand at the pool area- no food/drink service there. Im a confident swimmer but if you’re not, take care as there’s no one to supervise. The pool itself was a really good size with sun beds around. Location wise, it’s down an alley but I admittedly didn’t feel unsafe. Tuk tuks were always available outside- it’s $2 to pub street. I did book some tours from here- they were helpful even when I ended up cancelling one. Late check out isn’t an option. You can leave your suitcase but there’s no ‘safe’ space- it was just In reception and not even behind the desk which I didn’t love.

I arrived to the Okay 1 Villa in the afternoon and originally had a basic room booked. It was very small, inexpensive, but super small, with an old box TV. So I asked to be upgraded at the front desk and for an extra $5usd a night was given a bigger room. They allowed me to see the upgraded room before switching, and it was perfect. The bed was hard. The furniture in the rooms, like the dresser closets and desks were a bit old. However, the bed frame, like much of the decor of the hotel, was stunning in traditional Cambodian carving and furniture. The bathroom was a wetroom. The showerhead was stuck on one setting, but hot water was plentiful. The front desk/concierge lady was wonderful and super helpful. The hotel helps to provide bookings for tours and drivers, also for buses to different cities. I had already booked my tour guide and driver for the temples, but the concierge was super helpful in helping me book dinner tickets to a local Apsara show and finding restaurants close by. It was also nice, that there were postcards for sale and stamps to be bought, and the front desk would mail them for you. The pool area was really nice, and I wish I had more time there to enjoy it. There is spa services offered at the hotel. The food, that I had was good. The banana shake was great! The family/young boy, who took my order and prepared my food were super helpful and courteous. If you are worried about getting a tuk tuk to get to pub street or other places, they were plentiful outside, also the Concierge will call one for you as well if you need. For the price that you pay, it's a great deal, and a good stay.

Extremely poor quality room. The mattress was hard. The air conditioning didn’t work. The bathroom smelt of rotting and was infested with ants. I woke up to some bad bedbug bites as well. I had also been stalked by TukTuk drivers as well, but think that might be more due to the area then the place. When trying to explain this to the reception they did not seem to care. I would highly advise not staying here.

Great experience, great location. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a pool and breakfast.

It is a little far from the main street, the refrigerator is broken and the air conditioner is weak, so the facility needs to be repaired. It was inconvenient because no action was taken even after complaining to the front desk

The hotel location is at the center. Quite dated but still functional They have a pool at the top of the hotel. When I started the temple tour, I had to check out, but returned again to collect my luggage, and was surprised! They offered to shower in their bathroom/toilet in the lobby. Minus point, the room was Soo hot even with air-conditioning n ceiling fan So please ask 2 keys, to keep the air-con running when u're outside.

A bit pricey for what it is. Room was a bit dusty and my throat felt it the next morning. Bit on a backstreet alley so at night it can feel dingy.
