The Arabella in Sedona has many good features. It has a hiking trail starting directly behind the hotel and connecting to other hiking trails. The pool is lovely. The complimentary breakfast is varied and plentiful. The restaurant, Molé, attached to the hotel offers excellent Mexican dining. The Verde Shuttle can be caught right out front of the hotel, offering a convenient way to get uptown and to connect to further hiking trails. There are three lovely sitting areas at night with fire pits. The views from the hotel are amazing.
The only two issues we had concerned the room. I had booked our three night stay 3 months out, being guaranteed a king room. Upon arrival, I was told the room was actually not available, and was offered a double queen room instead; no other option presented. This wasn’t a horrible ordeal, but I had a confirmed booking in my preferred room choice, and I didn’t get that. To make the change in room worse, the tv in the new room had an incredibly dark picture. We enjoy catching an hour of tv viewing before bed, and this was less than ideal.
So, I would recommend the Arabella, and stay there again myself. But when next booking, I would emphasize my expectation of actually getting what was confirmed at the time of booking.
