ArtHotel Mare

I booked this as one of the few available rooms in Scharbeutz for our long weekend in the summer. Reading some of the reviews here and on Google made me fear I'd made a terrible mistake but actually it was all fine. I was stressed about the unmanned front desk so made sure to arrive at 2pm hoping there would be someone around. The desk was empty but the keys were in an envelope on the desk so that was fine. The room was also fine. A bit tired in terms of decoration but clean, spacious and the beds were totally OK too. Some reviews said the beds were terrible but we didn't find this was the case. Breakfast had a good selection of cold meats and cheeses. A variety of bread rolls also available. The coffee machine seemed temperamental and this angered some but there was filter coffee instead. Scharbeutz is an expensive town. So yes, compared to elsewhere, this hotel is pricey for what you get. But that is market forces. If catching the train, the hotel is walkable is about 15 minutes. The location is very nice on a quiet street but still close to the beach, shops and eateries. If unfamiliar with the area, Timmendorf is a lovely place along the coast. We actually preferred it to scharbeutz.

First time here. Railway station is about 1km away. Hotel is in walking distance to the sand beach and most restaurants. Very nice welcoming check-in and also easy check-out. Very friendly young lady at desk, also served breakfast. Breakfast was satisfying with warm and cold food available. Room and bathroom clean although in particular the bath room looked old and need a bit of redevelopment. Very quiet surrounding area, also during night hours.

Yummy breakfast, nice service personal. Unfortunately our room was in a condition of needing a lot of maintenance. Open wires, holes in the wall, damaged toilet seat, damaged windows and also leftovers from former guests. We got the last room and it was a last minute emergency booking, since our other appar**ent that we have booked disappeared. Nevertheless to many issues for that price. Make sure not to get this appar**ent.

Nice holidayappar**ent, plenty of space and OK breakfast. You could only expect to have a free parking if you arrive as the 5-6 first guests as the places are limited and nor possible to prebook.

In dieser Preiskategorie erwartet man mehr. Apar**ent hat eine alte Einrichtung die schon etwas verwohnt ist. Das Bad hat keine vernünftige Dusche, Spegel ohne Licht. Keine ausreichenden Ablagen. Die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein überall waren Spinnen. Die Kinderbetten Knarren und das Zimmer hat auser das Hochbett keine weitere Einrichtung. Parkplatz ist auch knapp und reicht nicht für alle. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist schnell am Strand und auf der Promenade.
