"Beautiful views and extremely friendly and attentive staff, we felt very comfortable. Lots of vegan items on the menu at restaurants and a great selection of mocktails. Our favourite part was the falconry experience it was truly amazing and our guide was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and hikes around and made use of the easily accessible bus routes. thankyou to everyone at low wood bay."

"The YHA is situated between two lovely towns, Ambleside and Windermere, offering the perfect opportunity for a variety of walks. The staff were very helpful and polite, and the view from the hostel’s patio was breathtaking. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you – we had an absolutely fabulous time!"

"The place was amazing and situated in a great place. Very near to a lot of amenities like bars and restaurants plus some shops. The staff were amazing and so polite. We was made to feel like we was at home. Our room was huge and had a great view of the gardens. Breakfast was outstanding and very tasty highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future"

"Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny"

"ฉันกลัวว่าเลคดิสทริคจะยุ่งเกินกว่าจะจองโรงแรมได้ ฉันจองโรงแรมนี้เร็วมาก ข้อเท็จจริงพิสูจน์แล้วว่าถูกต้อง เลคดิสทริคคนเยอะมาก! เรามาถึงตอนบ่ายโมง เดินประมาณยี่สิบนาทีจากสถานีรถไฟ Windermere ซึ่งอยู่ไกลออกไปเล็กน้อย โรงแรมนี้อยู่ใน Bowness ใกล้กับทะเลสาบ คุณไม่สามารถเช็คอินได้เมื่อมาถึง คุณต้องรอจนถึงบ่ายสองโมง ครอบครัวของเราต้องรอเช็คอินในตอนบ่ายและกินแซนวิชที่เรานำมาพร้อมกับกระเป๋าเดินทางเป็นโต๊ะ เช็คอินตรงเวลาสองนาฬิกา ห้องอยู่ชั้น 3 ไม่มีลิฟ บันไดแคบมาก ขนกระเป๋าลำบากนิดหน่อย เสียดายห้องดี ถึงจะเป็นบ้านเก่า แต่สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกค่อนข้างใหม่และเตียงก็ค่อนข้างใหญ่ ใช้เวลาเดินจากทะเลสาบไม่ถึงสิบนาที ใกล้กับสถานีรถไฟมาก มีซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตขนาดเล็กและร้านอาหารใกล้โรงแรมซึ่งสะดวกกว่า ต้องสังเกตว่าที่เก็บสัมภาระถูกทำเครื่องหมายไว้บนเว็บไซต์ อันที่จริงไม่อนุญาตให้ฝาก ศูนย์บริการนักท่องเที่ยวหนัก 6 ปอนด์ จนถึง 17.00 น. เท่านั้น"
