"A good standard hotel. Staff were very good and always happy to help. Centrally located so easy reach of food for lunchtime and evening, breakfast provided as part of the booking. Rooms clean tidy functional and always serviced ! Cannot complain except don’t risk the in house laundry .. in the end I did my laundry at the local supawash !"
"We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 5 nights. We loved the choice of restaurants, pools, shops, the stunning beach (definitely opt for a sea view room!)
The resort is huge. But then it’s balanced out by lots of choice. A few niggles eg. Charging extra for beds next to the pool - these were often left empty (as were all the cabanas) so felt like a waste. They high daily resort fee should cover these costs. Or just have all beds the same good quality?!
The room was lovely, spacious and clean. Just missed things like… a sanitary bin by the toilet, amenities beyond shampoo and soap, no cosmetic removal pads, no spare toilet roll. No notepad and pen even - just basic amenities you’d expect in a standard resort, let alone a high end one.
All in all, it’s a fab place for couples, families with all ages of kids, it’s great for hosting work conventions - they racially have it all, all in beautiful surroundings!"
"Service was good overall. Our room however, left much to be desired. The mattress was lumpy, the toilet worked on occasion, there was a stench emanating from the shower stall and the security box needed fixing. To their credit, it was fixed. The food was OK but expensive. Everywhere we went, food was expensive. The hotel is right next to the port where the megaships dock and release thousands of tourists into the quaint downtown by 8:00AM. By five thirty most of the stores close and the place is desolate. The hotel appears to be located on a side of Nassau that is exposed to winds; more so when compared to the Grand Hyatt that we visited. The weather was not conducive for swimming (2/6-2/9), as the weather was in the high 50s to low 60s with excessive winds. If you like fish fry, this is your kind of place. Be prepared to dole out almost $100 (US) for two; and this is without alcoholic beverages. Pelegrino is $13! Cocktails can run in excess of $25. The one saving grace was that the Bahamians were very nice; friendly, cordial and gregarious."
"Hotel absolutely unbelievable, very clean. Staff friendly not far from airport £40 do not pay anymore 👍👍 in the hotel it’s expensive but you’re always going to get that problem. But overall it’s great sea view absolutely fantastic"
