Hilton Embassy Suites is a great place to stay and experience Savannah, especially the Historic District. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit and used the trolleys to experience those farther away. They served a great breakfast every day and had a snack and drink bar in the evening. The Consigliore helped us make reservations to all the attractions we wanted to visit. They made our trip a success!!
Where is the Southern hospitality? We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past five years. Our experience in the past has been a staff of friendly, competent, and professional people. Not so much this time. In fact, the only two people who were good at their job and seem to like their job is the food and beverage manager and the valet. This morning, as we were packing up to leave, someone was knocking very loudly on our door, even though we had the do not disturb sign on. She was the head of housekeeping and wanted to know when we were checking out. My husband advised her that check out is noon and at that time, it was only 11:15. The hotel itself is showing age and needs a good facelift. Also parking is outrageous at $45 a day.
I arrived at 1am end of May 2024. Gentleman at the reception desk was qFriendly. My room was comfortable and clean. Cleanings team are friendly and helpful. The morning of Saturday the young lady at the bistro seemed agitated, not with me but another customer asking for cups for the water. The pool was very disappointing. The pool grounds need some maintenance as well as the green/blue pool water. It contained algae build up. The image on the website is very deceitful. The courtyard Marriott needs some attention!
I stayed here October 21-24. The entire staff from beginning to end was helpful and courteous. Front desk did an excellent job and very quick to have things set up. The room was gorgeous, overlooking the river and the city. All of the outlets had friendly staff, and the food and drinks were all good. Kayla and Lee were 2 of the management people I interacted with mostly. I met Frank on my last day and all were helpful. Staff wise I met so many, but had service by Kristina and Gina at the Broken Keel, and at Bootleggers I had Thomas, Mickey, and Robert. All did a great job. I also met Shiane and Jenn from the hotel. Very friendly place, great atmosphere, and lots to do. Also the parking attendants were friendly and informative. I look forward to my next trip.
The hotel is great and is located perfectly in historic Savanna. Everything is within walking distance. If you like the sound of yapping dogs, then this is the hotel for you! We had the experience of yapping dogs next door to our room. The dogs barked during the day and night. After the third complaint to the hotel staff, the sound of barking yapping dogs ceased. The hotel staff said they would take care of it and it seems that they did. Keep your animals at home. There is no need to inconvenience others because of your selfishness. Dogs aren’t children. I’d rather hear the sound of children than yapping dogs. I will certainly find a hotel that doesn’t allow dogs on my next visit to Savannah. Breakfast at the hotel is not worth it. I recommend going to one of the local establishments. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
Great location and spacious rooms, perfect for staying a few nights in Savannah. The rooms are close to the main shopping area and near to the city market and riverside. Also close to stops for the dot free shuttle service to Forsyth park and beyond. The bedroom was close to the hallway, the living room (with sofa bed) was on the street side. There was a shop being fitted next door while we stayed so there was some noise from about 7am that affected the living room but normally that wouldn’t be an issue and the road was otherwise very quiet. The kitchen has plenty of crockery and cutlery, a big fridge freezer, oven/hobs, microwave and dishwasher. There’s also a washing machine and dryer. All the bits and pieces you would need for washing up and laundry are provided, with stock available if you run out. The air con is powerful, to the extent that I was coming indoors to cool off and going back out to warm up, an odd experience for a Brit ( and maybe a more experienced user of air con would have found a less chilly setting 😁). It is possible to store luggage if you arrive early or after you’ve checked out. I got into a bit of difficulty with finding the codes (phone didn’t want to work abroad and I had multiple places to search). I popped over to the office a block or so away but there was noone around. Fortunately I had the app downloaded (recommend doing this ahead of time!) and all the codes are available once I looked in the right place. What with email and texts and the app I was in a middle but the information was all available and the storage was most convenient.
Great location and overall. Love the area. Not sure what to add to make it the 200 words minimum for a review. Always a great stay when in the area. Friendly staff and good service. Very quiet environment. Staff is helpful with your needs. Happy
