The hotel is located in the historic district. On check-in, the woman at the desk asked if we would like to be upgraded to a king suite. I said, yes, that would be great. Other than the room number, that is the only thing she said to me. Nothing about checkout time, wi-fi, breakfast, etc. The room was disappointing and dingy. The bathtub was cracked, the headboard had a stain, the curtains were threadbare in places, and the air conditioner was rattling. The bedroom area felt very boxed in. We're not big complainers, so we figured we'd just go with it. That is, until 7am when construction started in the room above us. Hammering, sawing, all manner of construction sounds that were so loud they may as well have been in the room with us. My husband took recordings on his phone and went to ask that we be moved. The woman at the desk started to argue but as soon as he played the video she started looking at options. There was a room available on the first floor, and we moved right away to a regular king room. This room was significantly nicer than the first room in that the ac was quiet, the curtains were fresh, the headboard was clean, and the bathroom did not have chips in the enamel. Bonus - the view was of a treelined street instead of the roof of another building. I appreciate that they switched our rooms, but they never apologized or checked that we were okay. Very poor customer service, and no one should be placed in a room under one with construction.

Overall, pictures are better than the actual place. Reception staff need to be trained on accommodations, area and dining recommendations. Clueless when it comes to dining or even breakfast places. Has valet at $30 a night plus then they send you an app that suggest $7 tip plus service fee of $1.87. Park your own car across the street much cheaper.

Cute hotel close to the trolley tours. Didn't offer breakfast, but did offer items to buy if you wanted

There was no drain stopper in the sink. No way to keep water in the sink.They first put us in a room that had not been cleaned, bed unmade. They charged us $150 for incidentuals before we arrived, then they put another $150 on our credit card for incidentals after we arrived. The day we checked out we could not get an explanation for it. We did not use any incidentals. It took 4 or 5 days for them to remove it from our card. $30 ea day for parking is ridiculous plus taxes. We did not know the parking garage was across the street. When I booked online, it stated they had pool but they don't. One day we waited 18 min for our car, we asked for it online before we left our room but the girl was playing on her phone when we got in the lobby, then she brought us the wrong vehicle. S we had to wait longer.
