Disappointing Stay at a Declining Giant
I recently stayed at this large, mass-market hotel, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The property is clearly showing its age and feels like it is in a state of decay.
The Room and Facilities
Cleanliness & Smell: While the room itself was surprisingly clean, the hallways were covered in old, worn-out carpets and the entire floor had a persistent, unpleasant smell of stale smoke.
Condition: The furniture and amenities are in poor condition.
The Pool: The pool area is in desperate need of renovation, showing significant structural damage.
Sunbeds: There are very few sunbeds available, and they lack cushions, making them quite uncomfortable. On a positive note, the beanbags provided for the lawn area were actually very comfortable.
Dining Experience
The breakfast was, frankly, desolate.
Food Quality: Most of the hot options were served cold, and the entire area smelled strongly of old grease.
Hygiene: The dining hall was dirty, and I frequently came across plates that were not properly cleaned.
The Beach: The public beach is beautiful, though it gets crowded.
Swimming Area: The designated swimming zone is very small and fenced off.
Staff: A word of caution—the lifeguards and the police nearby are quite rude.
This is a massive hotel geared toward mass tourism. During my stay, the clientele was predominantly Russian.
Summary: Unless you only care about a clean bed and comfortable beanbags, I cannot recommend this hotel in its current state at all. It needs a total overhaul.
