Great location - only a 2-minute walk to a subway station with a few grocery stores around with a hop-on/hop-off bus stop only 5 minutes away. We were able to get a SIM card from the front desk. I'd recommend requesting a room above the 2nd floor as many rooms on the second floor look over the lobby and it can get a little loud. I'd also note for future travellers that there is no mini-fridge in the rooms. Overall, a great place!

The hotel is clean and located in the heart of Santiago. The staff are amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There are bus and train stops within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Water, beer, wine and snacks are conveniently available for purchase in the lobby any time of the day or night. The hotel is still ramping up its operations to become more “full service” so some services, such as an in-house laundry service, are not yet available. The pool/bar area is beautiful and makes for a great place to hang out. Compared to a four star hotel in Chicago, some may find the interior a bit lacking, but my family and I really liked it.

We’re a short walk to shopping at the Costanera Center and panoramic views from the Sky Costanera. Discover museums and other cultural sites within a 30-minute drive. The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. Postscript: Having left Santiago to visit Atacama we returned to Santiago and had a night in an airport hotel before flying home. Rather than stay within the conf

This is an excellent hotel for the price, USD52 or AUD75 per night, twin room. We stayed for 6 nights. The room and bathroom were clean with fresh towels when requested. Beds are comfortable and pillows are soft. I always judge a hotel on the pillows! The hotel is in a slightly grungy part of town BUT it's within easy walking distance to the main Railway Station, Metro station and the airport Turbus terminal. It has an excellent buffet breakfast (included in the tariff) and the dinner menu is well priced. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a take-away breakfast on the morning we were departing before the restaurant opened. The hotel reception area has a refrigerator with cut sandwiches and drinks for sale. There is a currency exchange shop next door which gives a good exchange rate (unlike the rip-off at the SCL airport).
Good morning, first of all, I would like say good things about the Doubletree Hilton Vitacura, was a great hotel, good location and close to the Mall and good restaurants around. Me and my 2 sisters and my mother stayed from 28/05 until 04/06 in the hotel and we were very proud with the service, all the employees were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and affordable. Breakfast was the best part, which offered lots of options cold and hot buffet for everyone and specially for the waiter Leonardo and everyone else that gave us a good service and was very good. I would really love to thank everyone from the hotel Concierge, Breakfast Team, Housekeeping, Front Desk people and we had a wonderful time. I recommend this hotel and hope to see u guys next time.
Muy buen hotel muy cerca de centro comercial y estación de metro . El personal amable y diligente . La habitación cómoda aunque el aire acondicionado un tanto ruidoso . Ideal para negocios y compras, está al lado de un parque . Cuenta con piscina .

This is based on two stays / two rooms a week apart. This hotel is substantially better than the one at the airport. Bed was comfortable and a/c is strong. Wifi good throughout the hotel. Water pressure excellent, although the water smells so chlorinated as to be pool water. The room was clean, but they need to change their mopping chemicals. There is a slippery residue throughout the room which is really noticeable if your feet are wet. Breakfast was a travesty. Buffet with no alternative. Scrambled eggs, toast, very few pastries, fruit, and cereal. That’s it. Coffee machine wasn’t working (gasp). It was free, though, maybe. The staff wasn’t actually sure. Transfer from the airport is on request and free. Send flight details ahead of time and your driver will arrange pickup via WhatsApp. Transfer back is only on the hour, but you can pay $20 for your own five minute taxi if you want. Reception staff speaks English. But no one else did (including restaurant / bar staff). The hotel doesn’t accept any cash payments. The price is reasonable and offsets the above problems. I would stay here again for a layover. The hotel is not suitable for a city visit.
ผผู้เข้าพักI loved this hotel! The staff was really wonderful and accommodating. Juan was at the front desk each morning with a greeting of ”Good Morning Madame.” Nicolas was very helpful in arranging my stay prior to the visit, which was helpful. Every staff member was really friendly and accommodating. They served a small breakfast buffet in the main level each morning, even cooked eggs to order if you'd like. I went to this country traveling as a solo female. This was a nice location because it's walking distance to several restaurants and a lovely park. I felt completely safe in the area. My favorite was the Peruvian restaurant! I had this amazing seabass dish with scallops and calamari with a sauce on top. This was all on a bed of risotto. Chilian wine...fantastic! I wasn't familiar with this region's wine and was surprised at how good it was. My meal, paired with a lovely Chilian Sauvignon Blanc Reserve was so delicious that I went back and had the same thing the next night.
There is also a hill about a mile away that has the Christ statue, that is very walkable. There is a Japanese Garden on the hill. If you can't walk there, there is a funicular and the Uber car service worked just as it does in the US. One tip, if you're from the US or North, the maps will be backwards on Google. Just google directions to get them in the direction you're going. I got lost the first day until I did my Google search on how to fix.
The only problem I had was the language. Very few people speak English. I even went to a restaurant, fine dining at a park, quite lovely, but nobody spoke English and the menu was only in Spanish. To make matters worse, my phone died! Be prepared with how to use Google Translate, that will help, but if your phone dies, you're dead in the water. I found it very hard to communicate with people, which would not have been as bad had I not been traveling alone. I found it to be very isolating. I even took a tour with an English-speaking guide. I thought great, now I can chat with people, but NO! It was a guide who spoke Spanish, then translated to Portuguese, then English. I was the only English-speaking person on the bus. The museums, a few are only available in Spanish so no point going to those if you don't speak Spanish.
Other than the language barrier, I had a lovely time. My highlight was my hotel and the staff!
ผผู้เข้าพักWe were booked into this hotel as our plans for the Patagonian Lake District fell through due to poor weather. Having flown through the night we couldn’t have arrived at a more welcoming and comfortable hotel .The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent - great breakfast choices and equally good lunch. The bed is so comfortable and the shower super also. Great location despite everything being closed for Independence Day celebrations.
We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Santiago. The hotel seems to be brand new with some of it still under construction and not quite all the way operating yet (huge empty racks for a wine collection, no bar, restaurant not always open). The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English. The room was very nice, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was wonderful with servers and menu choices rather than a buffet. The location seemed a little ify - our first night there we walked many blocks in search of an open restaurant since the hotel restaurant didn't open until 7 and we were hungry. The only thing we could find was a Chinese restaurant on the corner in the midst of all the street vendors. Side note - just down the street there is a fabulous restaurant called Chilenazo but it seemed to only be open for lunch. As mentioned by another reviewer, finding the hotel can be a bit tricky. It's located on the 3rd floor of a building that has stores and a gym on the first two floors and there is no signage. The best entrance is on Romero Street around the corner from the actual address.
The room was lovely and clean. The personnel was warm and welcoming, speaking to us in Spanish (as per our wish) despite our limitations. When we found ourselves stumped, the non-English speakers would whip out their phones to find a translation and help us. Much to do just walking around the neighbourhood. Warned about possible pick-pockets we acted accordingly and had no mishaps of any kind. Santiagans were helpful and friendly everywhere we went. We had a pleasant time. The only glitches were the changing of our towels, despite the Echo-friendly sign and instructions (hang up towels not to be changed daily) and an unglued grid in the washroom that was a tripping hazard and left the room less inviting. Both were addressed promptly and with a smile.
