If you have reasonable expectations based on the location (middle of the jungle) then this place is everything you want and more. First of, the view from the rooms is breathtaking. Opening your window and seeing a private Caribbean beach is on another level. The rooms are clean, have a fan, and running water. They provide mosquito nets but you need to bring insect repellent. The location within the park is great and I even saw a monkey from my room. If you’re looking for this to be the four seasons, this isn’t the place for you. But if you truly love nature and want a break away from the world, highly recommend it. The lobby and restaurant have good wifi.

This was probably the best location we’ve ever stayed. The view is amazing and the service of the staff is the best!! We left our e-book in the room when checking out, so one of the staff members (angel) took it to our hotel in Santa Marta personally after he’s shift.

Do not book with them if you want a decent company that understands customer service. I booked and then had to cancel due to a change of plans. I was within their cancellation period and they confirmed I would get a full refund. 9 months later I am still waiting for the refund and they have given me no explanation. They owe me a lot of money, it is disgraceful.

Overcharges, added taxes and no printing copy of invoice. Said invoice to come on email and after several requests it was not provided. Wouldn’t recommend it for this reason

Great location, food and staff. Not that happy at checkout, taxes charged to be refunded at airport when leaving the country but not invoice provided for that. Requested invoice at checkout and was told it would be provided by emai and never receiver, sent out email request asking for invoice and no response received.

What an amazing experience!! This is 5 stars the whole way! Let me begin with countering all the 1-star reviews. If you need WiFi, a working TV and hot showers 24/7, this is the NOT the place for you! If you would like an amazing adventure in the Colombian jungle, with the comforts of cold cocktails, a nice bed, wonderful food and gorgeous beaches, this IS the place for you! Each and every one of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Everyone person at the Ecohab went above and beyond each and every day. The restaurant was first-class all the way. Food was amazing! We were there for Chris**as Eve dinner. It was fantastic! The decor and food were out of this world! The beach is right there and so relaxing. They even have chairs, tables and umbrellas for each Ecohab. Finally, the Spa is awesome. The massage was perfect! I HIGHLY recommend the Ecohabs!

Great place to stay to use at a morning start point for walking to the beaches in the area. The best beaches are a 1-2 hour walk from the property. We stayed in room 3, which is not well insulated and does not prevent insects from getting inside the room. The room condition itself is nice. Don’t expect luxury in this unit, the bed is small and worn. Also note that the units are really close to the ocean and you will hear the ocean waves all night. The restaurant has good reasonably priced food. Connecting to WiFi is annoying as you constantly have to re-enter username and password. Milena at front desk was pleasant and receptive to our needs.

This secluded jungle treehouse near the beach was absolutely perfect for my boyfriend and I!

These are the pros and cons based on my experience. Pros: The property is beautiful. the rooms are beautifully designed, fantastic view, very unique. Cons: The food was below average. Uncooked chicken and horrible desert. they have limited WiFi that you can only access it in the restaurant and at the reception are, and it’s one of those annoying Wi-Fi that constantly kick you out, and you have to log back by entering user name/password every few minutes. The beach is a very small area, so if you stay more than one night you will get bored here. in order to access other beaches it is a long walk/hike from this place . The bathroom is one level lower than the room, you have to walk one level go downstairs to use it. Upon check out, they gave me a bill five times more than it should be. I only had dinner and a bottle of water and they literally charged me five times more. Make sure to check the bill and don’t just hand in your Credit Card and let them swipe. When you stay here, expect a lot of discomfort. From where the bus drops you off, you have to walk about 25 minutes to get to the property and there is no other means of transportation except overpriced horses. The hotel does not help the customers by arranging transfer.
