HR Training Needed The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, clean and has a great location (close enough to attractions, but far enough for some serenity). Common spaces and room are tasteful. Price point is agreeable. The check in staff was kind, helpful and accommodated our early check in as well offered local suggestions. I travel often on business and pleasure and have always enjoyed my stay at Sheratons around the world. We've had family banquets and have come to appreciate a high level of service at a Sheraton property. The Scotts Valley location fell far short because of one unprofessional, dismissive and rude staff member. All was well until it came to how the night staff handled noisy neighbors. It was 11pm on a Sat night. I heard a lot of chatter and boisterous laughs. It got LOUDER and woke up my kids. I called the front desk thinking it might be upstairs or next door. 10 min later a loud speaker comes on and the music is clearly audible and the bass vibates our shared wall. I hear several groups passing our 2 rooms in the hall and knocking on the door which opens and slams shut several times with ”Where's the party?” Lots of noise, yelling and expletives. Again I call and this time I say it's next door. Hotel staff warns them they are being too loud. At 11:40 the party gets LOUDER still. I decide to go downstairs myself to voice my concern and discuss any resolutions. The man on duty says you just called and I just talked to them 2 min ago. It was well longer than that. He was very curt and dismissive. When I expressed myself, he asked tersely and under his breath,” Do you want me to call them again? You know I can't make them do anything.” I asked for a transfer and asked who I may contact to address the current issue and compensation. He shrugs, ”We're booked.” I said ”Don't' you have an occupancy limit and do you enforce quiet hours?” He looked very bothered and irritable. He gave me his general manager's card and said he would be available Monday. He hardly let me get any words out. He exasperatedly said ” We're not getting anywhere going back and forth. You just want someone to yell at so I'm gonna get em for you.” He walks off towards the stairs. I feel afraid knowing there are a lot of people in the room next to mine and my children, likely intoxicated. I called the police department. By this time it was midnight. When he realized what I was doing he started jeering at me and interjecting. Calling me ridiculous. Saying how would I feel if he called my boss. I represent my place of work well as a professional and would have no issue with them seeing this review- so I said go ahead and he rolled his eyes. Then he yelled ”So you're going to call them for me doing my job? Oh, and YOU'RE GONNA GET THE BOOT!” Wow. I never raised my voice and he was being not only unhelpful but disrespectful to me. While I was waiting for the police, he came down the stairs and nastily and tauntingly said the party's broken up now you can get

There have been some improvements since last year. This time our room had a screen on the sliding glass door, thus preventing insects from entering. Also, this time it seems the Covid restrictions have been relaxed because there was breakfast (cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, toast, no eggs or other protein). There was instant oatmeal but only the sugary flavors were on offer. The bathtub has some sort of no slip treatment. Again, the room was clean and comfortable, the service was good. We plan to return.

I stayed from March 31-April 2. The room is reserved to accommodate two adults. When I checked in the front desk I was given door hanger that if I wanted to re-use the towels that there is a points credit to do so. First thing I notice - I was not offered any drinks/snack but instead I got my welcome amenity in points. When I enter the room the first thing I noticed was the chipped tub (really big ones) . The room was clean overall. On April 1, after a long work day, I returned to my room (around 9:30pm) and found the bed was not made up and the towels were not replaced. I called the front desk (Shery - white female) and she told me that since I get the points for not getting the towels wash that I will not get my new towels. I said I did not hang the green door hangar because I want new towels I also asked why the bed is not made up. She said I must have put the do not disturb sign. I told her I did not put any sign at the doors at all and when we left that morning , the cleaners are right outside. I asked her what I need to do to get new towels (trying to overlook the non made up bed). Disdainfully, she said I will not get any towels since I receive points (the points I received btw are for the amenity - not the towel re-use). I told her take away the points she said she can’t and that I will not get any more towels —- I asked for the manager and she said she is the only one there. Instead of trying to be a good host to customer, she refuse to acknowledge my request for a long time before she finally gave in and told me to come down the front desk and pickup the towel (not even ordered to deliver them). This is the worst service I received from Holiday Inn Express that is considered as 4 stars accommodation). I have always stayed with Holiday Inn on business trips but I have not been treated this bad from a front desk manager. I had the choice to go to Hampton inn in the area but I chose to stay at Holiday Inn and now I fully regret choosing Holiday Inn at Watsonville. I am hoping this is just one bad front desk manager and not the norm on how paying customers are to treated. Very very disappointed. I strongly NOT recommend going to this Holiday Inn in Watsonville. I often not give any bad review and try to understand the situation but this one i just cannot ignore. - Brigitte
GGnochebuenaNever had to write this bad of a review. Terrible experience for the what I spent on. First front reception impression was bad. 2 receptionists, one on the phone helping a lady with an issue. She seemed very stressed. The gentleman helping the rest of us making a line. When it was my turn, my card wouldnt go through. When the lady receptionist was done with the call she seemed like she was about to get a mental breakdown. He then decided to try my card on her side and was successfully processed. He didn’t explain or gave me any instructions about the key. Key needed to work the elevators and power in the rooms I had to figure it out on my own. He Didn’t offer or explained parking, I went back after we unloaded our stuff drove around and found out there was no place to park. The receptionist pretty much just processed my card. I stayed 3 nights and no one went into my room to take trash or pick up the dirty towels. Only thing they did was put a set of clean towels the night before my check out day and that’s about it. I was given an accessible room. I did not ask for one. A light on a night stand were unplugged. Found multiple lotto tickets inside the pull out bed. Toilet paper handle was broken. By the way…..what kind of bar closes at 8? The bartender didn’t seem professional or welcoming. When checking out I was asked how I wanted my receipt. On paper or email. I told her I rather get an email. I checked out around 8am and it’s 435pm and I haven’t received my email. The only people I will say were amazing at their job were the valet guys. They were friendly, helpful and did their job.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed at this facility on March 10, originally with the intention of staying for one night only. The following morning, we decided to stay on for an additional evening. I went down to the desk at 11:10am on March 11, and the young woman behind the counter said that we should have informed them of our intentions ten minutes earlier (before check-out time at 11:00) and that as a result she could not offer us the room we were in. I asked her why, since the hotel seemed to me to be largely empty. In fact, during our conversation, she mentioned that there were only twenty new bookings for that evening. She then said that we needed to leave because the room needed to be cleaned, even though I assured her that we did not need it to be cleaned. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said that the supervisor was “on lunch” and again insisted that we leave the room. I told her that we would not leave the room until she clarified with her supervisor whether we could stay in the same room. She called her supervisor who said that it would, in fact, be possible to stay in the same room. I asked the young woman if she needed anything further, and I was then told that everything had been arranged, and we were all set for the additional night. At 1:25pm that afternoon, we received a phone call from a new supervisor -evidently after a shift change- who said that we needed to immediately check out of the room we were in. I said that our stay had been cleared with the previous supervisor. She said that she was the supervisor now, and therefore we had to leave. I said that I would not leave until she communicated with the earlier supervisor about the misunderstanding. She said that if we did not check out of the room, she would call the police who would arrive in 10 minutes. We promptly packed our belongings and gave our key cards to the front desk. Later that afternoon, the IHG (as well as Booking.com and Expedia) website advertised availability for that night of the type of room we had just vacated. All that needs to be added to this strange narrative is that we are IHG members, and have never such a bad experience in any of our stays at an IHG hotel.
I booked a series of rooms for my family. Though we got some rooms a little before normal check in because we had an event to go to we had to wait for the others after. The people Working there seemed to only tolerate the guests and did not seem to communicate well with us or their own staff. The parking is horrendous! Getting in and out is tight and they kept telling different guests different things. They have “double parking” spaces but double booked cars in them. This caused much confusion and chaos. The rooms are fine, some updates, particularly in the bathroom. The beds were good and they have full cable. It is not a quiet place but with proximity to Boardwalk is what many probably find appealing. We had just checked out of one of the rooms and forgot the food in the fridge. When we went back in they had already thrown it away. The staff were extremely rude and the price for the hotel was way way too much. Not worth what was being offered. The breakfast ran out of items quickly and staff did not seem to care about replenishing. Would not recommend this hotel, especially when there are so many others to choose from.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe front desk staff are very proactive, kind, and extremely responsive. Their customer service is outstanding. They went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The hotel amenities are exactly what I was looking for. It’s a nice place to stay with the family because of updated kitchen and cleanliness.
