Papillo Resort Borgo Antico

We were the first guests of the season and were welcomed like family! They could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. The rooms were really well designed, and the terrace from the apartment was beautiful for sunset. Our friend was celebrating a birthday and was serenaded with Prosecco! The dinner we had in the hotel was wonderful, as well as the cocktails at the bar. 10/10 recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice and cozy hotel with good view over the mountains. The staff were helpful and kind, the room was as marketed and the breakfast was delicious. Me and the wife only had one problem which was the bed, but I guess that is a problem in all of Sardinia. Very hard bed.

My wife and I stayed 18th - 21st May 2023. Unfortunately, we will not be returning: - Stunning scenery and beach. The hotel's location is fine, but getting to the beach necessitates a ride, which is available at the reception. - The Laguna King room was spacious and with nice views. - Due to the bad weather, two outdoor pools were closed, and the hotel does not have any heated or indoor pools. - We were also advised that there would be no activities or entertainment at the hotel owing to the bad weather. So, nothing to do at the hotel and we had to wonder around. - There is a €30 entry fee per person for accessing and using any spa facilities such as sauna, pool, gym, etc. for two hours only. Following our complaint, we were given a single visit voucher for two hours, so ultimately pointless. - The half-board deal was good, as it included a 4-course dinner at the hotel's main restaurant (transferable to other hotel restaurants for a lot less). However, the meal quality was merely above ordinary; considerably better food can be found throughout Sardinia. - Overall, for a 5 star hotel / resort comparable to other similar destinations we'd visited, we expected considerably better service, more professional customer facing staff, and a customer-first approach

A very nice church to visit in San Pantaleo. San Pantaleo is a beautiful old town in the north of Sardinia, but not by the sea. The most attractive part is the market square with a nice church, Nina cafe and several modern art galleries and boutiques.

We had such a fantastic time here and can't wait to go back next year! The staff is hands-down the main asset at this property - everyone from the receptionists to life guard went above and beyond to create the best possible experience for the guests. One day we missed breakfast because of the morning outing, and instead of sending us off on our way, the chef and the wait staff cooked up a feast and served it way after the breakfast hours. I can go on about the unobstructed views of the mountains from the room, the serene and relaxing atmosphere at the pool, or the lively village, which in itself is quite a gem, but we value hotels based on our experiences there, and this one was simply extraordinary! Well done!

I loved everything about this place! Elegant design, easy to find, clean room, delicious breakfast. The most unique thing about Borgo Antico are the people that work there. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to the whole team: Mariana, Massimo, Laura, Mauro, Tiziana and everyone from the breakfast team + the perdón responsible for the pool. They all made my stay at Borgo Antico unforgettable! They are kind, hospitable, helpful and joyful and this is the right formula for making guests happy! I can't wait to go back to this beautiful place! Keep up the good work!

Noi siamo stati al ristorante ,devo dire che non è stata solo una cena ,ma un'emozione ed un'esperienza culinaria unica.Lo staff giovane ma molto professionale,gentile e preparato ed il direttore,una persona squisita!tutto top.... Non vediamo l'ora di tornare

Siamo stai in questa struttura per dieci giorni,l’ hotel è carino,personale molto cortese e professionale in particolar modo barman e i ragazzi a colazione. Piscina un po’ troppo piccola e non adeguatamente attrezzata, camere belle e comode ma da rivedere la pulizia, in particolar modo del bagno,perché è stata veramente approssimativa per 10 giorni .Mancanza assoluta di appoggi in bagno. In definitiva direi soggiorno un po’ troppo caro per quello che offrono. Il paese di San Pantaleo veramente delizioso!!

Questa è una di quelle rare strutture che combinano la bellezza della location all’ospitalità avvolgente di chi la gestisce. Ciò consente di essere innondati da vibrazioni positive all’arrivo così come ogni volta che ci farete ritorno durante il vostro soggiorno. Una particolare nota di merito va a Mauro, Massimo, Tiziana e Laura, che vi coccoleranno durante tutto il soggiorno facendovi sentire in famiglia. Una particolare nota di merito va fatta anche alla colazione: l’ampio buffet offre prodotti locali ma anche le migliori eccellenze regionali italiane (ottimo il tagliere di salumi emiliani), oltre a buonissimi prodotti panificati, frutta di ogni tipo freschissima e buonissimi piatti gourmet preparati espressi dallo chef. Non guasta, poi, che l’hotel disti 10 minuti di auto da alcune delle spiagge più belle al mondo pur trovandosi nel cuore di San Pantaleo (per raggiungere la celebre piazzetta basterà svoltare l’angolo). In ultimo vorrei segnalare il silenzio assoluto e la pace che si sperimentano nella struttura ad ogni ora del giorno: non c’è migliore garanzia per una vacanza di relax assoluto.
