El Refugio Ski & Summer Lodge

Great experience overall. All the staff were very friendly and in a magnificent environment. Ideal place to rest, go hiking and enjoy good wine accompanied with a good book and family or friends. Would recommend it everyday.

The accommodations are very well designed, comfortable bed and great linen, fabulous bathrooms, with real working chimney in each room. The heating and hit water is impeccable. The two restaurants have both wonderful food. Especially the Patagonia shushi, a must. Reasons for my poor rating. 1) the wifi doesn't work and I've been here 4 days. Cellular data works fine. 2) the receptions take quite some time to answer. A couple of employees at the reception keep the help desk WhatsApp number muted. I called the number while in the corridor of the reception and then walked in and asked them why they didn't answer. They didn't reply. 3) on Saturday room service showed up at 4pm. They justified this by saying that they where too busy with new arrivals. 4) there is an extra charge for the wood for the fireplace (ok) however it doesn't ignite because the wood it's wet and humid. 5) the change sheets and towel every three days which is quite uncommon. 6) ask for internal transfers way in advance and call them half an our before to remind them. 7) no in room service of any sort Other tips: 1) The food at Terrazas restaurant is exceptional by the service is very very slow. Tw out of four time they got the order wrong after waiting for 40 minutes. Arm yourself with a lot of patience. Enjoy a great wine menu and the bar tender is top notch. There are two sitting for dinner 7:30pm and 9pm. 2) the pass to Chapelco is closed and thus skiing is limited to two slips with very slow chairs. However, they can organize a transfer which is reliable. 3) make sure you stop and shop for groceries at San Martin because there is not a single grocery store up here 4) make sure you book the restaurant before you get here because it gets crowded very quickly. 5) the ski school is very well organized and the instructors are very competent and kind.

The dirt road to the property was in terrible condition and had 8 switchbacks. There was no sign so we spent nearly an hour walking around until we knocked on someone’s door to ask where to go. There was mold in the shower and the coverlet on the bed was stained.

Amazing place, however totally remote... 45 minutes AT LEAST to San Martin. Good for ski vacation or longer refuge.

Excellent service. Thank you, Sebastian, for a wonderful and welcoming stay. Rooms are top notch, modern and cozy. Lovely areas to walk around and appreciate the view and surroundings. Takes a while to get up to the top of the mountain but once there.it is paradise.

No suelo comentar pero lo requería por el esfuerzo del personal y que en administración lo valoren. He visto comentarios negativos con la reserva, pero en lo personal no tuve ningún problema, la atención fue excelente. el lugar totalmente tranquilo, para llegar solo 2km de camino de tierra de alta pendiente(centro Sky Chápelco a Centro Sky Las Pendientes), el resto 7km de tierra de fácil acceso de ruta 40, recomiendo acceder por la entrada principal del centro de Sky Chápelco. El lugar era más de lo esperado, en lo personal no me gusta la multitud y el ruido, y en este complejo fue la mejor decisión. La instalación todo perfecto, la villa en excelente condiciones y todo lo necesario. El restaurant tiene una de las mejores vista al atardecer, el servicio 10 puntos tanto la variedad del desayuno como su excelente carta. En fin, quiero agradecer a todo el personal, por haberme ayudado en enviar una llave de mi bici que he olvidado en la villa, tuvieron la gentileza de hacerlo y entenderia perfectamente de no haberlo podido hacer.

El hotel está ubicado, a mi entender, en el mejor lugar dentro de la montaña y del barrio. Se desarrolla desde la base, hacia arriba sobre el lateral de una de las pistas. Eso te permite acceder fácilmente a los restaurantes, la administración y el estacionamiento, sin necesidad de esperar ningún medio de transporte. También podes salir esquiando desde tu departamento. La atención del personal es sumamente cálida y eficiente. Los departamentos están impecables y super equipados, el servicio de limpieza es muy bueno también.

Magnífica experiencia en la Patagonia. Muy recomendable para disfrutar con niños. Dispone de actividades en la montaña para toda la familia. El Trabajo del front desk es impecable. Vistas increíbles al volcán y lago lacar.
