I waited at the front desk for 5 minutes for someone to show up on Nov 7th at approx. 1p. I then asked a nearby maitenance man if he knew where the front desk staff was. Two people then appeared after the maitenance man stood behind me. A woman (who later identified herself as ”Cortney”) proceeded to speak with maitenance. The maitenance man had to tell her to address my needs first. She then turned to me and said how can I help you. I advised her that it was rude of her to look pass me and speak with the maitenance man before a customer who has been waiting over 5 minutes . She then told me I could leave. I asked for the manager to which she said, ”I am.” I asked her for contact info to her supervisor to which she said, ”contact Wingate.” I asked for her name to which she said, ”Cortney.” She then told me to leave again while walking away. This manager (Cortney Dawson) was rude and disrespectful to a customer (prepaid for 5 days) and ultimately respresents Wyndham poorly.
ผผู้เข้าพักI stay in lots of HIE locations but this is the first time I have stayed in this location. I am a frequent traveler. Mixed bag, some good and some bad at this hotel. Front desk staff were not friendly and they failed to acknowledge my top level status which usually occurs in all HIE hotels. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Room appears to have fairly new carpet but there are issues--rotted wall by the shower, towel rack loose and ready to fall off the wall, light fixture on the wall was slanted down on one end and appears to be ready to fall off the wall. The soap dispenser was worn out--when you pumped soap, you had to pull the pump device up manually to pump a second time. The elevator floor was filthy. The hallway on the 2nd floor needed to be vacuumed pronto. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast but the two rooms needed a good cleaning. I stay in IHG/HIEs in multiple states many times each year and stay in 30-40 hotels every year with about half of those stays at HIE hotels. This experience was clearly one of my worst experiences in an HIE hotel in many years and I won't ever return to this hotel. This hotel's 4 star rating on TripAdvisor is clearly incorrect--this hotel is a 3 star quality hotel.
DDreamer41555294578The staff was great, and the rooms were awesome with the proper essentials for the stay. The hotel is a great area for shopping and nature parks. The mall is near the hotel for great shopping. The hotel has a restaurant that is adjoined for a great experience.
I have been staying here for over 14 weeks now. I find the entire staff from the GM, asst GM down awesome! Manual is the one I constantly wake up when my room key stops working. Caitlin is the day clerk. Both go put of thier way to be kind to us. Caitlin has brought me groceries when I was to sock to leave my room and Manuel has badges me into my room when he couldn't get my room key fixed promptly and I had groceries to put away. Housekeeping works hard to keep the halls and elevator clean. With the hotel sitting in the middle of red mud, that's no easy task. Know that this is a 2star hotel. There is no patio. No pool. The washing machines in the laundry mat are constantly broken. There isn't a gym. There is a lot of noise that you don't hear at 3 &4 star hotels. However, if you want a clean, safe room for an extended stay? With a responsive staff that will listen to you? I highly recommend this place and this staff!!!
They were nice at first. But if you complain they ask you “ANYTHING ELSE?” Rudely. First of all, we had a hard time opening the door, because apparently had been kicked in and you can see from the frame it is Bent, you can tell the bathroom door had they kicked in as well, even though it was plastered over, fire detector was missing, trash bags were crammed behind a mirror/light, front window lock was broken. They told me it’s OK because it was painted over so no one could open it. Didn’t feel safe so I couldn’t sleep. Flies were on the wall, a vent in the bathroom was a jar, and there were several large holes in the wall that look questionable. The only thing I can say positive about this place is that the staff was nice at the beginning until I complained. And the room was clean.
